Hi Kennon, Thanks for comments. Rear silencer will be the last one.
I was thinking to do the big forge bore size 66 - 69mm and follow with exhaust system.
Next project on the new alu rim with tubeless tyre.
On 25/Sep/11 got a few things done.
- New gear lever
http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u...9-25131043.jpg
- Mod the chain guard as it only hold with 2 bolt and shake during the ride.
I covered with Alu chain guard and underneath with stronger alu

- Here pic of both mod done

Earlier I removed hand guard.
Replace stock handle bar with red alu handle bar
And install digital tech guage
(working at night so it was low light, bad for phone cam)
This analog tech did not work, I had to take out and redo the work

Got this digital guage

those new bars are so much more of a improvement yet again i am urged to say a bar pad would look nice there, it sucks that you live in thailand and i live in the UK as our bikes would look pretty mint parked up together yours with a very much honda look and mine a Yamaha YZ style, once i get some card issues sorted i should get my new mirrors soon
Plan to convert this dirt bike into adventure look.
Next to fit with touring tyres and see the height, lower as needed.
Front and rear lower mud guard.
As this bike will be used in the city.
I like your water cooled bike, very nice with street tyres.
Hi,
In my area the other guy got this bike and convert tyres into motard...as below pic
Total cost in convert approx 220USD

Stock sprocket 13-520
http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u...0-15121907.jpg
this sprocket from Honda NSR150 14-520 as well as TA200 which share the same part (both cost USD 3.-)
I tried to find 15 tooth but not avail at that time, even I get one may not fit good and cant close the cover
You gain one and lose the other......
actually I want to use 15:42 or equal to 1:2.8 and have to reroute to
14:39 may use rear sprocket from Honda NSR150SP N-Pro (NPro stock is 40 and there is aftermarket for 39 tooth avail)

just a question but is that a cup holder on the handlebars?
aha sounds very similiar to my home country, do you have a open face helmet or a very long in the front MX helmet to make the best of the drinks holder?
I use full face, flip up helmet, in the stop and go traffic is very handy.
Just lift up and easily get a zipppp.... on the hot day.

Many thank's for posting all this information Kot.
I have been trying to decide on a cheap motorcycle to buy in Thailand which was a real motorcycle rather than a scooter,
and all this information you have supplied has been a great help.
Did you buy this from the Sym dealership in Bangkok?
Are they in Rong Muang near Rama VI soi 1? The address on their website is only in Thai but looking at the map I think
I know where they are. I would like to visit there next month flood's permitting.
I hope you and your bikes are dry and safe.
Hi Toneeightytwo,
Glad my info spread out and help. I got the bike from SYM@rong_mueng.
This bike went through the wet, you can see more pic from this topic......

I see you have been having fun in the "nampuam" your bike is looking very good.
Thank you for the extra photo's and informatiion I cannot read Thai but google translate
does a good job changing it to English. I will go and look at the Sym dealership
Monday 7th, as I have to go to Plonchit anyway, it's not far and the bike look's
a bargain for B46,000.
I will also be careful crossing the road now near Lumpini if that is where you try your
top speed run's :-)
You cant use google to translate, most came out in a wrong way as I post in THAI did not use official words.
Today took another 45 min installed front mud guard from DT125/175 in white.
The stock is bad, got crack and I cant allow seeing it.

everytime i see this thread your bike just keeps getting better and better just makes me want to go back home and work on my bike so more cant wait to fit my new mirrors onto my Rieju
Dear Kennon,
This is the pad you'd like....
http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u...P/DSC01002.jpg
How many Kilometers have you done now?
How reliable is the bike? Any small problem's starting to appear?
It does look good
- Eng lub changed @ 60 KM. Fill up with Valoline 15w-40
- On the clock is 630 KM
- Hard to shift down and finding N. Solved by race engine above 2000 rpm
- Poor stock tyre, not yet change. Plan with street touring tyres.
- Rust on frame
- Engine vibrate, now better after took out 1 engine bolt at the head and lift up handle bar.
- Engine not too smooth under 2800 rpm, may be cause from ignition timing or valve timing or else.
- Rear shock got too stiff rebound make the ride very hard
- Front shock is just average
- Front Brake is not sharp, rear brake too good may lock up easily
- Plastic parts is very poor. Front fender broke.
Rest you can read in the beginning of this threat.
for the rust on the frame best tipi can give is to remove the most you can and put some copper slip onto it as copper slip doesnt evaporate it stays there protecting that spot hence why its used to lubricate parts in a drum brake, also perhaps you should try to change the front brake caliper for a uprated more something that is suited for a very large scooter i find is a big improvement as your bike is allot lighter that way its more powerful and if its from a big brand scooter its a quality part just might have to make a bracket to help it fit
last Sat i went around BKK due to the water flood.
(I went every week-end to survey and see those crisis and give hand)
This time I rode in the water and deep >50 cm.....at no time the engine went out.
The water was above spark plug close to the seat which the air filter and fresh air tube there.
I push up the sidewalk to dry place and check the plug, a little water went in.
Dry it up and leave it for 10 min and try start up again. Took a few start, engine fire up and off a few times.
After fire up let it idle for 10 min and the way back I rode on side walk all the way down and got home safe.
http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u...P/DSC01087.jpg
Next day I got it hard to shift, even harder to find N gear.
On Mon I took out the dip stick and saw a white engine oil....did someone pour in coffee & milk into my engine....
Just this afternoon I did the engine oil change with Castrol 20W50 API SL for 1 ltr
And also replace new breathe hose, put the other end under the gas tank instead down.
Will have to put grease into the plug, as I have to go into the water every weekend.
