Yes, they're called Nogami now.

Yea, it's worth 30K... It sucks.
Benelli's a Chinese brand now, it is cheap for many reasons I'd like better not to know about...
Also 600cc is too much for me, I'm small.
I shouldn't need as much spares with a Ninja.
Thanks for ur advices, I'll follow up if I buy anything...
Peace.

Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
hi there mate.... went to nogami few weeks ago to check some bikes and ended up buying a shift pad for my shoes... lol
i also got the same quot form mr. murata and honestly 42k is reasonable for me knowing that in thailand the ninja 250r is like 150,000 baht which is 37,000rmb or so....(more or less).
The thing that i was concerned more is when i ask him about the reinspection of the bike after a year, he didnt guarantee me that he can handle it. Now 2013 cbr250r is more likely my next choice, saw one store in PUTUO that sells it for 37k and 24k plus for the 150. Good thing is i still have a month to decide before the riding season starts:)

I had the pb for a while, used upside down leather cover on the shifter for a while, then a tennis wrist strap around my shoe for a while, now I decided to keep ruining my shoes, pb solved.

Another grey part of the deal... A bit of a dealbreaker if I can't keep the plate on it more than 1 year...

I thought 1st inspection was after 2 years? & only insurance is needed aft 1 year.

37k u say... We should try & get a group discount...
Was the bike in the shop?
Putuo where if I may ask?
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
heres the link to the forum(PM), u can trace it to the taobao shop to see store address.
i was scheduled to go there last weekend but something came up, anyway.... if u have time this week and check the store maybe u can mention to the boss our intend group discount?:) their taobao shop says 37k but i saw some store that sells it for 34,800(to be exact) i suspect they have the same dealer/supplier so more or less we can negotiate for the same price.:)
P.S.
The cbr on the photo is a 150(tri-color) the 250 will have the same paint scheme. The only difference i believe is the ignition key, exhaust and the kill switch that is not present in the 150.
keep me posted man!....ride safe

Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
Oh this is Jiaoji rd, it might be dodgy also to buy there for me as I ain't sure they can register the bike and transfer my current immatriculation plate 100% legally...
I'll go check it out this w-e still.
Cheers
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
So u saw the shop before?... my sixth sense is telling me that is easier to get a waidi plate or in your case transfer shanghai plate for imported hondas (though its not imported legally) just because its a honda, as ive seen some imported hondas that seems grey as well with shanghai C plate. Also the same case with yamaha and suzuki.... for kawasaki i think it will be an endless persuit to make it somehow legit unless you pay the import tax and such....
damn LONCIN for not sealing the deal..... just agree to kawasakis terms, anyway it will still be a win win situation for everyone...

makes me wonder.... how to plate a grey import (smuggled) bike with a legal Shanghai plate as quite a few documents are missing due to grey import (smuggling)......

do you really believe every license plate you see on a motorbike is real or belongs to the actual bike?!

Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
Went n check on Jiaoji rd dealers this w-e, and a few others.
Apparently there's a single document that proves legitimacy of the import of a vehicle.
So, how to plate a grey import with a legit shanghai 沪 plate?
No problem! They all say. One has got Kawas 600 & 1000cc (50K RMB for a 600, tho it is quite a deal) both his idiot mechanics were saying no pb but after a quick chat with the guy behind a desk, not possible, of course.
Here:
Attachment 10742
- - -
Another dealer (left side of bottom pic) said he could plate those 2012 (or is it 2011?) CBR250:
Attachment 10743
This guy here (left):
Attachment 10744
Would be sweet but at this point, I don't trust anyone anymore, they'll say u can put ur plate on their mom and ride it legally if u give them 500 RMB.
- - -
Also went to every other Honda shop I know of:
- The honda guy on Jianhe near Tianshan (near Nogami/Murata) says he can import a Thai made 2013 CBR250 for 38K, in about 20 days.
- The honda guy on Zhonghshan near Wuyi rd says he's got no CBR250, only GW...
And finally,
- The honda guy with Peugeot scooters on Taizhou near Yuyao says they're all full of sheet and there's no way they can legally import those bikes for that price.
I figure any bike can be plated without the proper import doc by anyone who's got Guanxi enough to do so...
1st accident, routine control or yearly check => Game over, probably...
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
agree with you man 100%....i think we're loosing the battle here unless someone out there can hook us up with a guanxi:)
both are 2012 models.... if i were u since u have a chinese A plate already how about just settle for gw250 for now and get the plate registered hassle free... then get a "weekend" bike which is the bike u really want (i think im well aware what its is) and a get a waidi plate for that just for riding the countryside...i know a bit pricey but thats what im planning to do. As for my everyday ride maybe ill consider wuyang honda rr150(cheap and reliable)with a C plate then ill decide for a weekend bike thus giving me more time to save and get the one im craving for:)
cheers

Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
U know what, I think I'll buy a Benelli 600.
It's overpowered & too heavy for me but that's the only affordable & legal option with the CF650.
They say the CF isn't reliable.
I just worry the benelli isn't much more, but I had a Regal Raptor for 25,000 kilometers, I don't think it can be worse...
Peace.
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
whhhhaaattt??!!:) yeah man... i suppose that would be the most reasonable option for me too if i were in your situation.... since u have A plate
already, y not?.... u own a 250 already so i guess u need a more powerful bike for your second one... and benelli in my opinion is the smartest
way to go...lucky for u your just worrying where to put your "A" plate while im still scavenging for the cheapest reliable bike just to get a damn
"C" ...
with the price of "shA" right now?..... NO WAY!
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
Yea, If I get another 250 now I'll be disapointed (unless with 32hp on a Ninja, but that's no legal option), there's nothing legit between 250 and the Benelli...
- - -
Yea 沪A price is just nuts, and people still buy em now!
It may go down tho; did u read TB-Racing's last post here:
http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...d-advice/page4
I wonder if them new rules will change a thing regarding Bike's plates.
Anyways, 沪C is also a good investment now, 8K in 2010 is 15K today...
+ I doubt the cops would give u any sheet in town with a 沪C.
Do u have a Chinese driving license?
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
I doubt that it will go down that much.....
I just had my International license translated yesterday.... Now heading to phase 2, but they kindda screw up translating the exp date though, supposed to be '14 but they put 2018... Do u think it will be crucial? Other than that its fine...
BTW the "C" now is 20k.....and counting:)
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
Good, u need that piece of paper.
The license is supposed to be valid for 6 years, 2018 means 5 years only, close enough so it's not too weird.
Do u have the english questions & answers already?
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
I mean the agency that translated my intrl DL made a mistake buy putting 2018 as the expiration date insted of 2014. Since the chinese date format is diff from us so i guess they got confuse or something. Im just worried that it might be an issue.
About that.... Im currently reviewing the one recommended by the our fellow rider Mr. TB_Racing, but says questions and graphics are still based from the old archive. Is there a lot of diff from the old one to the latest?can anyone confirm this? http://www.chinese-driving-test.com
Thanks

I passed my test end of March and went through both archives. The new set contains a lot of new graphics on special traffic situations. The final test contained about 15 of these graphics.

Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
Tnx for the info....BTW do u have another english site for the new graphics.....?

Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
Hey, how's ur bike hunt going? Did u buy anything?
I'll have to wait longer...
I found out the guys at the Pubei Rd Suzuki shop will have a Kawasaki 250 in December for 39K+...
They said Ninja, but dunno if they'll have the Z 250.
Peace.
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
Hey man, just purchased a C plate and preparing for the DL exam now.
U know what.... I got my bike and plate from the shop u mentioned, kindda gave up on our "quest" and decided to take
the fastest route:)
About the ninja, did they mention if its possible to register it with your A plate?
Update me....
P.S.
The price of Sh C now is about 20k excluding the transfer fee, few months ago i heard it went as high as 30k, not
sure how true that was though.
Ride safe
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
yea they said I could transfer the current A plate I have onto the ninja in december.
What bike did u get? from which shop (I mentionned a few)? Murata-Nogami japanese shop?
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
The one in pubei rd. Suzuki bigbike shop.
i went there with my gf and paid whole amount for the plate and deposit for the bike, a black GW:)
its doable?well, Ill be damned!...Thats great man! unfortunately not for me since my bike got delivered already and now
"on display" at the shop. Y u didnt tell me sooner?lol
anyway.... The bike will stay at shop until i pass my DL exam which will be 3 weeks from now, going back there next week
though to personally inspect the bike then have them register it with my newly acquired plate, :)
Finally...if all goes well as i expect, ill be running road legal next month..... "Fingers cross"
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
I went on Tuesday, was lurking at the BJ600 and they asked when I was buying it, I said it's too heavy and I was looking for a 250, then they told me. Anyways, I doubt u could have wait till december.
Anyways.
Congrats on ur new bike man!!! (And on ur plate also...)
The GW still is dope, and the shop is quite reliable, although sometimes their aft-service can suck, especially cause of unavailability and rising prices of Regal Raptor parts, u won't have that pb with ur Suzuki.
I cross my fingers here too, read the 1200 questions carefully and no less than 3 times, u'll soon be on ur wheels.
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
Thanks man!:)
after considering all pros and cons, running scenarios through my head and advices i got here i just decided to make life easier for me and just get a road legal bike that suits my everyday needs.
But a little disappointed after i heared about your recent discovery. But your right december sounds a bit of a wait for me. But still i wished u told me sooner... :)
Me and my buddy who rides a HD is really looking for someone to ride with, sounds like were to going to be trio now,:) but im afraid i wont be able to keep up with u guys in dowtown since u both have an A attached to your rears:)
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
The other day I talked with a cop who had a 沪A since 2010 also, he was as shocked as me by the current price of the 沪A.
If u play it cool and have ur driving license in addition of ur 沪C, they probably won't want to fine u, that is if they stop u.
Now if all goes to sheet, they can't trouble u for more than 200RMB anyways...
I still have 4 friends who drive scoots everyday without plate or driving license, but they have lots of experience avoiding cops, one gave a cop a arm key to escape the other day, and goes through the same cross-way everyday with the same cop giving him angry eyes everyday since...
No worries man, u're in the green with all ur papers and 沪Bling, go downtown whenever u want.
-
Re: Sport bikes 250cc and up
"cool" is my middle name broda':)
a fellow "soon to be,all legit rider" msg me recently asking my views whether to get a 沪C or 沪A, he's on the fence right now and i think your words of encouragement will surely help him to decide.
anyways...will update u with my exam and lets hope ill get all the luck that i need:)
Ride safe man! u'll be hearing from me soon.
