i cant help but notice but the engine in thelater pictures differ abit from that of the website such as the waterpump orientation on the engine
But Beta use KTM engines!?!?
(And Suzuki DR350 for M4.)
they also use minarelli(yamaha) 50cc and 125cc engines aswell as the suzuki 200cc engine
The point is that they don't seem to manufacture any engines themselves.
company's like beta, sherco, rieju, gas gas , fanticmotor and may be some others sometimes share engines or some part of it in both 250 and 450 4strokes and some how big bore them to 530 ,490 and so on
and beta does not use KTM engines ... are they nuts ? they are expensive engines and need some costy special cares all time(THEY aRE REady TO RAce ) you know !!!
find the engine supplier for named companys and we will see ....for example the megelli 250 engine that use the beta offroad engines technology has been made by zongshen in china for sure !!!
the head cylinder of M1NSK seems to be not exactly the same ...any one has any photos that show us the top end .
but the rest is the same no doubt
The new RR series is supposedly with engines made in house as of 2010.
Oh, ok, right. Beta. Haven't heard about them, though.
Hi guys! The motor that the Mink 450 uses its indeed a Beta last generation! I read in a site that some dealer related to the Mink are import Beta over there. so its easy to figure how they get it. I think was for testing purpose or promotion or both. Makes more sense use the asiawing 450 motor because the cost. Christini are using then allready in there 450 (Frame & Motor) but everything else its aftermarket top nocth! I hope they manufacture that model too, looks just great! I think its a terrific combination using european desing(KTM) Chinese motors (The good ones) and Taiwanese suspesion plus everything else after market ( good quality).
We cannot get them here and if they are coming through Italy they are not going to be very affordable. The Asia wing engine would make me not even consider buying one. Asia wing comes off as handing out kisses of death and or poison pills for people to swallow.
What is a price for the M1nsk 450? Not that it matters to me it is here in the US as a Beta already and cost $8,500.00, who buys them, rich dirt bike riders? Bet they only sell into race circuits.
Hi MJH you are rigth about use a european motor! Thats its what said only with a chinese 450 motor the price could be good. Related to the Asiawing reliablity i really dont know. But i sure know that Christini are using them and see dont give any problem. They told me that they will keep in the line which inclue xc,sm,en. They have plan to introduce a 250 (wich i guess the Loncin 250cc motor) in a couple years.Rigth now they concentrate in the two stroke models 250,300cc.The 450 xc sells retail on 6,895.00 USD.Wich its a lot cheaper than the Beta plus AWD system. I put a picture of the Christini so can see the frame & motor equal to the Asiawing.Attachment 8349
That does look Asiawing indeed. And, being a long-time owner of one, I must admit Asiawings suck balls.
The Christini is an Asia Wing
It is the AWD 450.
USA EPA related data on the model for 2012.

Christini also offer a 2-stroke, it is off highway and I do not have any data on my PC for 2012 Off Highway, so I cannot see who makes or where the 2-stroke is made.
I am pretty sure that the M1NSK has a Beta engine and why it has made in Italy on it.
I see all the R series I am 99.9% sure the M1NSK 450 is a Beta 450 RS

do not confuse the Christini with the M1NSK they are not the same.
The 450 engines have stricter EPA requirements compared to under 280cc, they are class III models.
I can bet that the EPA will grab one and test it for compliance, I suspect they have been doing that without much publicity on many of the Chinese imports.
I just discovered in the state of Oregon court documents that is what shutdown Zongshen America.
The window to submit false applications to the EPA and not get caught is pretty much over.
Corruption and fraud may be normal in other countries maybe here in the USA as well, but if you get caught it gets you in deep shit.
It is not the avoiding of the EPA regulations that bothers me, its is not the avoidance of the FMVSS regulations that bother me, it the fecking fraud and lying that does.
The results will be stricter controls and more policing, people that cannot be trusted have to be policed. You do not have to agree with the regulations, you can disagree with all of it,. but you cannot ignore the laws.
Before entering a market any market you study the laws and work inside them, It is no mystery that people in some markets slip around regulations and even bribe people to get past laws. In this country that will get you big fat fines and in some instances can but you in jail?
Look at the Zongshen thread they screwed a distributor and that instance the distributor tried to get them charged with racketing, LOL that’s a felony offense and can get people put in jail.
If your "manufacturer" GET SHUT DOWN THEN YOUR PRODUCT IS ORPHANED AND THEN IT HAS NO SUPPORT AND HAS LITTLE RESALE VALUE.
MJH the 2 stroke motor that use Christini in there bikes are from GAS GAS Spain.Which have a complete top notch enduro line. But they use Yamaha motors in the 4 strokes models. InAttachment 8353 the professional enduro circuit the european manufactures are turning again in to 2 stroke models for racing. Its more cost effective! So next year you will see Beta & Sherco using 2 stroke motors again. Fantic from italy are using GasGas 2 stroke and Yamaha 4stroke in they enduro bikes.
They seem to be doing a relatively good job marketing the bikes, but all that would interest me is SM but at $8,195.00 there will not be one in my garage anytime soon.

The red case on the side is the chain drive for the front drive.
That indeed is Asiawing. With its way-too-small-for-an-SM front wheel and stock hubs/spokes, which means BS. No AWD bike can ride on screwed-up hubs.
Oh, and it's extremely complicated to ride AWD with a factory-screwed-up gearbox too.
Question, though: my bike's front fork isn't marked anyhow. Neither is the rear shock. This one has Paioli marking all over. Could it be that my bike has Paioli too? BTW, can say nothing bad about the fork, good job there, Asiawing.
The price of that contraption is amazing. It is no way worth that price tag. Don't know who'd be buying that, but whoever they are, they are had big time.
Hi Steve! If you look carefully you will see AWD system on the fork. You can see how the system work at you tube. The suspension that they use front are italian Paioli (aka premiun) suspension. Asiawing also manufacture and sellto them the hall frame & body for the 2 stroke models so i figure this partnership will go for few years. Also the US army just signed recently a contract to supply this model for the army & marines so though testing has been used. This kind of contract are the ones that asiawing need to improve there products. At the end customers will benefit for the higher quality standard!Attachment 8448
If I come across a government procurement document for the claimed procurement of these and it has anywhere near the asking prices I am seeing, I may spontaneously combust.
The marines use KLR’s and with special engines that run on any fuel. I would not and do not think this product is proven enough for them, they may have bought some for testing, but even that seems hard to believe.
The front drive system seems very simple and it could work well or should work well when the back wheel looses traction.
AsiaWings target market has always been higher then other Chinese motorcycle companies, but they have a terrible reputation. I imagine that the Honda 450 in the bike would have some patents on it, see first paragraph.
In the Christini website they said that US goverment signed allready. I wish it would be true, because that will make them more carefull on the quality standard!
MJH the misnk erx 250 as far you know its a CDK unit? What company its manufacture the parst? I try to contact those guys but even in there language they dont answer. I think inst available to the public yet.But is really a good looking! Let me know!
