Third run same as second run except stock can back on 75 MPH indicated.
Speedometer is off by about 8 percent high according to my GPS so top speed true is about 67 MPH at 8k RPM.
The Q sounds so much better now so I staying with the stock muffler.
I get no more than 37mph! Emphathy, pitty, symphathy... something, anything. Well, I won't give up finding parts... I'll try again tomorrow Saturday.
73mph on a 200cc and you're thinking about mods? Good job :D
Re: My NEW XF200 qingqi (Pics!)
In some instances, yes. Most of the time its due to tuning. In almost all cases he probably had much more torque with the more free flowing engine. Torque is the seat of your pants acceleration that is much more fun than top speed. What did you buy the bike for? If you said anything but commuting and enjoying the nimble little ride, then you may as well start looking at a larger bike. You will never get anything above 70ish MPH with this little 200cc. The torque is something you should trade for horsey's if u like acceleration and the pull of the bike. Remember that tuning is EVERYTHING in little bikes. Dirty and neglected carbs with lack of valve adjustments will leave you wanting more for sure!
OMG! I can't wait for summer up here in minne-cold-as-hello.
Ttyl everyone.

Felix,
That's my experience but other's may vary.
Also the straight through muffler was too loud and crappy sounding for my taste.

slabo,
The 73 MPH indicated on the Qlink XF200's speedometer is really about 65 MPH according to my GPS.

dirtypickle,
I bought the XF200 to ride in the mountains of North Carolina on two lane curvey roads where handling is a priority and speeds rarely top 60 MPH. The Q does well in that environment. It does poorly on straight high speed highways.
Re: My NEW XF200 qingqi (Pics!)
Very true. Highways or windy country roads are completely off-limits. Also I will agree with a strait through pipe of does sound funny. It all depends on the pipe. It pays to get a scooter type muffler and mod it to fit. They are made to resonate and cancel out sounds from smaller engines. Personally, my pipe is strait through and sounds very deep and desireable. Idle isn't loud at all, but it can get somewhat loud under a good throttle slap. :)

I was going to put stainless straight through on with the YOSHIMURA Oval Exhaust Endcan that is pictured in here - Would you advise for or against. Would i be better of with as from factory

Yoshimura muffler on my 2009 Qlink XF200
The Yoshimura can I used was aluminum and the only advantage I found was less weight that the stock pipe. It did not improve the performance of my Qlink XF200 over the stock muffler. It was very loud even with a baffle. Too loud for my taste so I am running the stock muffler.
Waste of money in my case.
Re: My NEW XF200 qingqi (Pics!)
Its all about Tue can you choose. There are cans that make loud tinny farty sounds. There are ones that are plain loud and obnoxious. BUT there are cans that sound good; good, meaning that they output a deep roar (like mine). You have to get one that resonates correctly with your bike, and that is the big problem because they usually cost about a bill each time. :(
Good luck on your choice.

Wow ! This bike looks nice. I likes to drive sports bikes & i have drove many sport bikes like Hayabusa, Pcg-600. After watching this bike, i am planning to have short test drive of this bike soon. Thanks for sharing.
