In some instances, yes. Most of the time its due to tuning. In almost all cases he probably had much more torque with the more free flowing engine. Torque is the seat of your pants acceleration that is much more fun than top speed. What did you buy the bike for? If you said anything but commuting and enjoying the nimble little ride, then you may as well start looking at a larger bike. You will never get anything above 70ish MPH with this little 200cc. The torque is something you should trade for horsey's if u like acceleration and the pull of the bike. Remember that tuning is EVERYTHING in little bikes. Dirty and neglected carbs with lack of valve adjustments will leave you wanting more for sure!
