Hi Gus,
Nice looking bike! It's not fair, why is it that you can buy this bike in argentina but here in china Qingqi tell us that it's not even in production?!? Unfair...
I have recently ordered the supermoto version of this bike, it has the same engine, suspension, in fact almost every component is the same. I should receive it next month, if it comes with a manual i'll find a way to share it with everyone.
Have fun on your bike, don't hesitate to post more pictures and thoughts about it. It seems you are one of the lucky few in the world to own one!
Felix
Re: New QingQi 250 Motorcycles! (QM250-2D, QM260-GY-B)
Hi Felix!
How could it be that you can't buy an QM250-2D in China? It still is on qingqi's website (with another front light and other minor changes, but it is!).
I asume that they only build it for export... but I don't know it certainly!
So you bought the Motard 250 (Ligier 250).
We are expecting that Beta Motor Argentina will introduce that bike during the second half 2011, due tu homologation in argentina.
We already have the first pictures of that bike, called Beta Motard 2.5 here in argentina:

The only sustancial difference between my bike's engine and that one is that the motard comes with a little oil radiator. I guess it is because of the metallic protection for the oil pan and the shorter ralation between sprockets, that makes the engine work on more rev's.
If you receive an english owner manual with your new qingqi, please let me know how can I get a copy of it!
Here I post another picture of my bike on a camping weekend that we shared with other motorcyclists in Bragado City. It's about 200kms far from Buenos Aires City, were I live.
I was the only one on a Chrono 2.5, and ther also were 1 Motard 2.0, 1 Suzuki VStrom 650, 1 Bajar Rouser 220F and several Beta Euro 300 (its a Loncin bike sold under the Beta Brand in Argentina)

Hi Gus,
I'm on my second QM250 and I've never seen a single page of documentation of any kind. The good news is that you have this site to answer all your questions, so fire away and we will try to help out.
A lot of info here...
Sorry to say I can't see your pictures...says the images are blocked and need to long in :confused1:
Cheers!

hi ChinaV!
Ooops... can't you see them? they are all hosted by imageshack.us Maybe yo can open an account at imageshack. It's free and so you can see them!
Thank you very much for your help offering!
My bike is working perfectly. It has around 6500 kms so far. I bought it new on last october 2010.
I use it every week day as my personal transportation to work. I do 30 kms to work and again 30kms back home every day. Most days with my wife on the back seat.
The bike is awesome so far.
Here in Argentina is a good selling bike and has the best price/product ratio for me and their competitors are:
Yamaha YBR/YS 250 u$s 5750
Honda Twister CBX250 u$s 5250
Bajaj Rouser 220 u$s 3250
Gilera G1 250 Naked (another chinese bike Yingang YF 250NF) u$s 4000
and other 250cc chinese brands (there are plenty of them) u$s 3000 to 3500
My Beta Chrono 2.5 is worth aprox. u$s 3200
The quality of my bike is similar to Bajaj's but a little inferior to Japanese first Brands.
The mayor problem we have in argentina with our QM250-2D at the moment is that the axle of the intake valve swing arm is having some unusual movements. It should be fastened and it shouldnt move. But it swings. On some bikes more, on some less. We told this matter to Beta Argentina and there are making an investigation about that.
Please, can you tell me if you experienced this on your bikes? Can you please do me a favor, and with your engine running, touch with your fingertip the axle of the intake valve swing arm and notice if it swings?
As we could made research between several bikes, it doesn't matter iof it is brand new or it has 10.000 kms it swings. We asume that it is an manufacturing problem.
Can you help me with this issue? Maybe if you have any contact at QingQi do some questions about it?
Thank You for your hospitality and I will now take a look to the link you posted.
See ya!
Re: New QingQi 250 Motorcycles! (QM250-2D, QM260-GY-B)
I just read all teh post you linked above.
Your actual bike is intended to be on the argentine streets sometime in the second half of 2011.
Do you know if the problem with the plastic oil pump sprocke is fixed by now? I guess I have the second series of engines, just like your QM, but without the oil radiator.
Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and for the good vibes!
Let's the good roads been ridden!

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly. Are you talking about this part?

I have almost no contact with QingQi. They are the worst company in the world to deal with when it comes to problems and parts, and they don't like me very much. It would be easier for me to get answers and parts from Beta Argentina than the people at Jinan QingQi. Don't get me wrong, I love the motorcycles, I just hate the company.

I do not know what they did to fix it. It would take at least a year for me to get a new side cover gasket here in China, so I'm afraid to pull the cover and look. QingQi does a lot of testing before exporting their bikes, so I'm pretty confident they fixed the issue.

Re: New QingQi 250 Motorcycles! (QM250-2D, QM260-GY-B)
Hi ChinaV!
Exactly!
The axle that holds that swing arm, swings.
I post you a video:

If the video don't appear, just follow the link.
I'm sad to hear about the bad post sale attendance of quinqi in china.
Certainly we have a lot better attendance here in argentina by Beta. (because it is a subsidiary of Beta Italy. As a matter of fact, any model that Beta Argentina wants to sale here, has to be imported to argentina, put all pieces together and with the full operative bike, has to sent it to Italy to make proofs about quality and durability. They use it in Italy for a while and the disassemble it to examine it. If the product approves the quality standards imposed by Beta Italy, they allow to Beta Argentina to sell it under their brand.
Hope you understand me now, because my tecnical english is not so good... ;)
See ya!
