Thanks for the info, will have to try that sometime.
Looking forward to the website.

hey kevin, when you did the k&n filter did you notice any difference in performance? i took mine out for the first time in a week tonight and put my k&n on, might just be me but seemed to run better. i'm attributing it to the fact that it no longer has a tube running inside the intake and disrupting the flow of air. just wanted to get a second opinion because to me it seemed to run better. also, i was able to find the evo breather bolt on ebay from a guy in ohio, got 2 for 30 shipped. saved me 15$. thanks for the help on that man!
I hit over 3000 miles on my Heist today the Widow and she looked Damned Good doing it LoL. My scoot is running great and she's still turning heads wherever I go
Pretty impressive man
Hey guys, been driving the bike as the weather permits but just broke 150 miles on the way to work today. The chain rubbing problem was definitly because the tire got turned when tightening the bolt, so watch for that. Got a great idea from work but lets just say I may be getting a new electronics tin and make it out of an old small compressor tank. Should be interesting if I can pull it off.
Gardo, sorry I have been really busy but will try to get intouch with you soon. Did drill the gas cap and it turned out good. Thanks man
Whats up guys! Hope all is well in land of the heist soldiers! I just wanted to check in on the forum and see how things were. OBVIOUSLY great because we ride the CCW Heist!
Anyway I attended Vintage Bike days this weekend and had a blast! The three day event included North Americas largest motorcycle swap meet or flea market. Some might have thought it was junk but I must say if i was doing any restoration work or looking for parts this is the place to go! Thousands of Vintage bikes to walk and look at as well. Brain overload when it comes to ideas. it was so cool to see bike from the 40's all the way to today. I did manage to find some white grips for my bike tho. Needless to say i did not see a single CCW! My heist was the only one present and boy were people curious! Honestly felt like a salesman so I hope it pans out for Scotty and PIT motors as well!
On a side not guys, as i have said before on this forum I am not mechanically inclined and I am learning everyday, I learned another lesson last friday!! I had success installing the seat and everything was well and rode great thursday night! When i got back thursday night i felt it to see if i needed air again. It felt a little soft so I added air with my bicycle pump. I am a avid mountain biker and have a high volume pump. Needless to say i pumped it up to about 20lbs or so on the gauge and went in the house and went to bed. When i got up in the morning and did whatever i had to I decided to go for a ride with my brother. When i went in the garage sat to start up and go... Well my seat went all the way to the bracket. I then realized by looking at the seat and airbag itself that basically the top portion of the bracket which attaches to the seat had come out. Realizing air probably blew it out. I tried to put it back in and worked on it for a bit. After a call to the dream weaver he told me the ring is heat sunk on the bladder and it had to be replaced! WOW I was not happy for my stupidity and I learned that I can not use the gauge on my pump but I better invest in a pressure gauge or just old school hand and squeeze! Luckily the only thing that will need replaced will be the bladder portion. I just hope that it is not to expensive. Enough of my typing I just hope it helps someone in the future not to be nearly as DUMB A@# as me on that situation!
Keep on riding on!
Irish- these bladders can be temperamental. i use a tire pressure gauge and the old squeeze and feel method. Hope that yours gets replaced with little ease. great way to represent at the Vintage Bike days, sorry i couldn't make it out. A buddy needed my help tearing down and rebuilding an engine from a 68 BSA thunderbolt. We managed to get in off the bike tear it down and rebuild it to spec in 6 hrs and had him on the road in the seventh. When that bike is done it will be Hot.
pereill - I use a draftman's small metal ruler that reads in 64th. Very accurate the other way I know is I spin the tire and if the chain has a tick to it I know she still off alignment. your idea of the compressor tank sounds awesome good luck with it. take pics and document it.
No worries man hit me up whenever Glad the gas cap idea worked out for you.
now guys I have a new video up.

Very nice video Gardo and thanks for all the help. I like to take some part of the bike apart everynight just to get used to it and tonight I was looking at the handlebars and switches. Does anybody know why the two wires go from left and right switches to the brake and clutch levers? If so what are they for? I looked at the wiring diagram but could not find anything relating to those.
Does anyone have pictures or details about how they covered the holes or places where the emissions stuff goes to fuel tank, carburetor, air filter, engine, and inlet pipe? I have seen the photos of the cap/hose filter for the exhaust from backside of engine but what about the rest of holes and connections? Pictures would be appreciated.
Finally getting close to getting some stuff done on the bike so when I do I will be sure to upload pictures. Keep on keepin on guys.
What's up you filthy sweaty chinachop bikers. :icon10:
1. Gardo, you're starting up a CCW website? I'm 100% down to help. What ever you need hit me up. I do graphic design work, photography, layouts etc. I can do some write ups of the common mods, carb jets, bar/grip changes, tail lights, fender chops, etc.
2. CDI is a bust. Well, not exactly...we got DC powered CDI's on these bikes, which actually is awesome. DC units are known to be solid units. The only thing a performance cdi could add is to advance the timing. This can also be done manually by moving the timing sensor. I'm still looking into this.
3. Supercoil and NGK wire are installed. Haven't ridden enough to give an honest opinion. Gut reaction says not worth $60. Gotta get some time to really ride it though. I think my carb may also be slightly out of tune due to the humidity, so I think I really gotta spend some time to give an honest opinion on this coil. I'll say this: it's red!
I got some painting and a few other things going on now so I'll snap some pics of everything in the next few days.
Also, I saw CCW has the kickstarts available. Just a warning: looks like the same one I have? If so it doesn't completely clear the g&d long pipe. Be prepared for a speed dent!
What's shakin' Heisters? Well, at long last my scoot's a reality. It took a while 'cause I wanted to put the Weaver mods and a handful of custom pieces on it out of the box. For anyone in SC, Chris at Stumphouse Scoots hooked me up with a solid build and is the man to see for a Heist. When the stock bike arrived Chris tore the engine down and shipped the carb and head out to Tom for his mojo and Tom had it turned around so it was back on the bike within 2 weeks (including shipping both ways and the July 4th holiday). Chris also set me up with the 12" apes and custom cables, the G&D long pipe (unbaffled...absolutely obnoxious ), and that fly ass LaRosa saddle.
