If any of the forum members goes to the Shanghai fair, and after that do not treat us with a photo report, I wish him all season with a chronic case of flat tire.:foff:
I covered a show once and all the photos were ripped off MCM and spread across the net. Wouldn't have cared if they just credited MCM or linked to the post. Don't expect much, I hear people claiming to see lots of things all over China and only a few people actually share pics. Most come here to bitch about licensing and registration shit.
Cheers!

mate, spot on and looking at Members : 6432 makes me wonder as only a handful of regulars post at MCM....
most of the domestic fairs in ML China are just crappy trade shows and to be honest not much interest from my side in the multitude of cheap small displacement MIC bikes....
Motorcycle expo? Like with those Chinese companies that have a rambling sycophantic spiel in auto-translated English praising their virtuous and wonderful leader splashed over their website that looks like it was made in a 1995 version of dream-weaver with broken links and not one bike over 125cc are coming this year? Like woopie! Then a bunch of parts manufacturers who have not one ounce of originality and call themselves Diaisese or some other copy similar alike crapola brand and font are coming to advertise their wares? Hmm, or you could go ride.....eanie meany mynie mo....:icon10:Quote:

You could have applied this line to many of the people here MCM on any given day and on any given postings.......... (including me sorry to say)
New year resolution number 1, try to stay more positive and focused on the good things of life in China and all things related to motorcycles! :deal:
www.china-bicycle.com exhibition is on right now at the Pudong Intl. Exhibition Center and if your into bicycle and gear, highly recommend a visit as its huge in 8+ halls and BMX / Offroad competitions outside. Had a walk through some halls to get to another expo and seen no motorbikes on display....

One of my friends has gone to the cycle expo, if I lived a bit nearer/had more time I'd go for sure.
Hey MCM,
(This is my first post on the forum.) I'll be visiting the Motorcycle Fair tomorrow. Anyone else going to be there? Would be nice to get to know someone from the forum face to face. Let me know!
Cheers
I just came back from the ChinaCycle2013 in Shanghai New Intl. Expo Centre.
I was expecting bicycles AND motorbikes (as of this http://www.intermotorcycle.com/en/)
SO WRONG!
Not a single Motorcycle! :confused1:
I was in every hall.. even in the ongoing food and food packaging fair halls.
As TB-Racing said, good for bicycle and bicycle gear, but don't expect any Motorcycles.. unless there's another "Secret Shanghai New Intl. Expo Centre" that I don't know of..
I don't even want to mention the one hall marked as Motorcycles and E-bikes, since nothing in there qualifies to be called Motorcycle IMO.
Not a waste of time, because I'm also interested in bicycles, but still a disappointment.
Dear MCM, Slenderman,
I decided not to trust you and went anyways. :riding: I did find motorcycles, but it was not worth the visit. The motorcycle pavilion was outside the main structure of the exposition, in the yard, and it looked like a white tent (maybe that's the reason you missed it).
There were only two motorcycle companies, Benelli/Qianjiang and Lifan. Total of 4 bikes >= 250cc :frump:
First/second: Benelli BJ600GS (normal version and "tuned" version).

Third: Qianjiang QJ250-L

Fourth: Lifan Powerman 250

I also liked this 150 Qianjiang. Small, but with "bigger bike" built. Notice the rear suspension spring, sooo oversized.

The only thing I could do was speak with a sales manager from Qianjiang that told me they sold 300 BJ600GS in Shanghai in 2012 and 3000 overall in China. Do these numbers make sense to you guys? Also, I came to know that they held a conference about motorcycles in China on Monday, anyone was there and can tell us if it was of any interest?
