Thanks everyone for the replies. In the end, I left the Garmin at home and am relying on the Maps.me android app on my phone. It works pretty well in China.

GPS Offset still an issue?
Howdy All,
Returning to China at the end of this week for the first time in 9 years. Is the GPS offset issue still relevant, or will my Garmin work right this time around?

Huh. After I posted here I did some searching because I could have sworn that I read the RX3S has a twin in it. I found the thread and the "evidence" on CHinaRiders.net. Here's the link:...

Re: Kawasaki Versys 300 - pricing
What are Zongshen RX3's going for in the motherland? The only advantage I see of the X300 is its slightly better powerplant. And the RX3 comes pre-farkled.

Not sure if by that you mean that you just want to ride some trails, not do jumps and serious off-road. If I'm guessing correctly, then you should take a look at CSC's TT250. Imported to the USA...

Also, Have you considered the Jialing JH600? They have a hack'd model too. They've got a pretty good rep. I know one guy from Hong Kong that's been riding one for 9 years.

Not really a dual sport, more of a mini-ADV bike, but have you considered the Zongshen RX3? They're only $3,800 in the US. Gotta be cheaper in the homeland. My personal experience is that they are...

I do feel lucky to live here. The RX-3 is such a good bike for this area. There are more dirt roads and Forest Service trails than there are paved roads.
I'm very impressed so far with the RX-3....
