I took the test in Hanyang. There's a traffic bureau located about 200 m west (away from the Yangtze river) of Wang jia wan (王家湾), on the left. That was about a year ago.

Thanks, those links are helpful. Most people taking the test went to driving school, where they teach you the rules of the test, but I signed up for the test without going to driving... -

I took the motorcycle driving test here in Wuhan. There were five poles, spaced about 4 metres apart, and I had to zig-zag between them, turn around, and zig-zag back.

I rode 6500 km through southwest China, got stopped twice. Both times I just was friendly and pretended to not speak Chinese. The first time, got a 500 rmb fine, the second time the police let me go...

Here in Wuhan, as of April 1 this year, non-Wuhan residents (including foreigners) can apply for motorcycle licenses. That's why I'm finally taking the tests.

The English versions are readily available, so it seems like the license office there in Nanjing has a little money-on-the-side thing going on.
