Sorry, all Suzuki GN/GZ/TU 125/150/250 engines are 2 valve. Some have 2 exhaust ports.

Re: Loncin GN250
Ok. Having played with the bikes a bit, a couple clarifications.
GN250 engines are always 2 valve, no matter what. However, some variants have 2 exhaust ports on the head. Why? Who knows. That... -

Re: Xingyue XY400GY, available in China?
You are right, I have not seen any 250 cc shinerays on the street.
The dealer near my house seems to be a premium dealer. They sell new BMW's on one side (starting at 250,000 rmb) and Suzuki,... -

Re: Xingyue XY400GY, available in China?
You aren't going to see a lot of improvement with this over what you have. You are essentially going from 18 to 30 hp but it's a lot heavier. I dunno. The price is right. The Shineray 250's water...

Re: Chinese Hardley - what is, who makes, where get?
Interesting you should talk about the Honda Magna 250. A Chinese company, Chunlan, used to make a copy of it, but they aren't in the showroom at teh Chunlan dealer at the moto market. They aren't on...

80 hp V twin, eh? Well, that is more than a 1550 cc stock Harley, so I am guessing that it's either a big engine or sportbike derived. The only company making small powerful v twins are Suzuki,...

Not torque as much as power at low revs. A lot of people, esp. older drivers and riders, or people who have generally owned cars with large engines like the feeling of lots of power just off idle....

Hey Mintwax. I don't know where there is a Lifan dealer in Shanghai (I am sure there are lots, I have not found one). I have found an excellent BMW/Suzuki/RR/Shineray dealer here in the Minhang...

Re: Chinese Hardley - what is, who makes, where get?
The Virago 400 was sold in N. America as a Yamaha Virago XV500. Still, the hp was terrible.
The most powerful Chinese cruiser is actually the Chunlan cruiser, which is a copy of a Honda Magna 250.... -

I am sure they have a dealer in BJ, they seem to have them everywhere. Where, I have no idea. If you know some Chinese moto riders you could ask them.

Re: need advice - looking to buy a cruiser in shanghai
Hi there.
You have a few options for a cruiser in China.
Firstly, there are quite a few Virago 250's in China. At the Shanghai moto market there are 6 or 7 for sale right now, used. If you... -

Re: China: E-Bikers will need driving license
HOnestly, 2500 fatalities in a country of 1.2 billion is nothing. If China could crack down of bad driving it would actually make the place safer.

Yeah, looks like that's what they used. The 1000 cc twins and the 125 cc two strokes were MZ I think.

Re: Chinese Hardley - what is, who makes, where get?
Looks a lot like a Honda steed 400, a non north American honda model. Common in China.
As for the Virago 250 clones, a few companies have been making them, has dismal reliability records. -

Fill the tank and drain the carbs.

Buell has just shut it's doors, but Harley isn't willing to sell. One the other hand, the former East German maker MZ has shut it's doors. They made a range of 125's, 250's, 660 singles and a rather...
