06-09-2009, 06:37 AMI have been searching around and I have found the name Wonjan motorcycles. It appears they are a Suzuki affiliate in China that produce Suzuki GN250 motorcycles.
When I first got here I thought a GN250 would be the ideal motorcycle for China but was unable to find them anywhere for sale. Anyone seen new Suzuki GN250's anywhere? Anyone dealt with Wonjan?

They also had a dirtbike, presumably based on a GN250 engine.

Thanks, I was wondering who the hell made the GN250!
Without consciousness, space and time are nothing; in reality you can take any time -- whether past or future -− as your new frame of reference. Death is a reboot that leads to all potentialities.

Funny you should ask. I saw GN250's all over China and, after asking, I couldn't find a new one in any showrooms.
They did give me price quotes of 10,000 plus but never actually had one to sell or show. I know there are many of them for sales second hand on the internet in China though, so maybe that's worth checking out.

06-14-2009, 06:28 AMJust went out and looked them up.
The GN250 commes in Kunming around 14.000RMB
The GY-dirtbike type usses the same engine with 15kW and costs 1.000RMB more.
Surely there is still space for discussion on the prices.

06-14-2009, 09:35 AMI am fairly sure that a rep from Wonjan is monitoring this topic. I am sure if the questions are addressed directly he/she might answer.
