04-09-2010, 10:22 PMHello all,
Since a few days my qingqi has a stalling problem in the high rpm. I made a video so you can see what Im talking about, I know this isnt good for the bike but i had to show this because this also happens when Im driving. My modifactions are: rejetted to 128, kamikaze pro cdi, removed SAI and a new exhaust. I also cleaned the carbourator and the main jet and the problem is still there. What could be wrong? This is the link:

04-10-2010, 12:24 PMHi,
I thought that the rev limiter on the Kamikaze pro was 12.000 rpm. So I dont think it is the limiter. Does anyone else have the same problem with the Kamikaze cdi ?

This is really not the kind of engine anyone should be taking to 12,000 rpm.... or even 9,000 for that matter. Testing how an engine performs in neutral really won't tell you much about how it will go down the road. An engine working under load usually behaves quite differently.
Does it have problems when it's on the street and not at 9k rpm? Also, it sounds like you may have a valve or engine noise.

04-10-2010, 04:43 PMI tested in the neutral because I dont have a on board cam. I found the stalling weird because it didnt do it before. It is around 9k rpm when driving and I know you shouldn t drive at these high revs but normally he shouldn t stall even at 9k rpm, right? it is also weird that sometimes the stalling starts at 8krpm. I was only wondering of this was normal if it is Im not going to change someting.

04-12-2010, 08:33 PMNot sure if this is the same but sounds similar to a probpem I had with my chinese rocket. I wuod be driving happily at aroung 7 - 8 k and suddenly engine stall. bike stoppped and could not restart for a few minutes. Then suddenly can restart. Turns ouot to be a short right by the coil where the HT lead comes out. It had been rubbing on the frane and vibration wore the insulation. Was only able tosee the arcing when revvingthe engine high, then arc was visible and engi9ne cuts out. Amazing. I think the electrics go craxzy for a while and aftre a few minutes canb restart the bikew. Fixed with some insulation tape. Wierd I know but could be what your getting.

Even with brand new, non-rubbed insulation the spark can still short though if it's touching the frame. If you can shock yourself by touching the HT wire then wrap the thing in a couple layers of tape!

04-13-2010, 05:44 PMHello,
Thanks for the reactions and i will look into the HT wire. Has anyone problems with the sparkplug cap because its from metal? Should it be better to replace the cap?
