Hi there.. I'm really happy to have found this community
I've been living in Shenzhen for 5 years now, and my hobby has been fixing up old bikes and scooters, I've also got a fairly popular youtube channel which features some of my adventures / misadventures in China, riding / fixing bikes or just about China in general.

I'm really happy to find like minded people here in China, and I'm hoping to join some of you on your rides / adventures if that's at all a possibility.
P.S if you'd like to see my youtube channel, here it is: www.youtube.com/serpentza

Welcome Serpentza,
Surprised you are able to keep up your hobby in Shenzhen, not many bikes left in the city. Thanks for the Youtube link, a bit slow via the VPN, but the beer girl starting the Virago was worth the wait. Stop by sometime if you're ever near Dongguan.
Cheers!

01-24-2011, 07:32 AMWelcome, indeed, Serpentza,
I strongly recommend that you regard that beer girl episode as a "pilot" and continue with the multipart series. Here are some suggested episodes; I'm sure other members can come up with more.
--beer girl works the shifter and clutch
--beer girl preps for written exam
--beer girl on the test ride circuit
--beer girl shops for full leathers
--beer girl's first legal ride...
Looks like a fun bike too.

I think that's a brilliant idea ;)
I'm heading to Taiwan during the Chinese new year for a bike trip / holiday, that should be awesome, I'll have the videos up and I should be meeting up with M13 if all goes well

Yeah, it's pretty dodgey, but if you know where and when to ride, you can get away with your bike not getting confiscated... it helps to know all the cops in your local area too :P

Hi Serpentza, me too are pleased having another Shenzhen mate around.
I've got a shitty pit bike (sub 3k RMB) that I ride around my place. I have replaced parts and fixed it many times, as for that price the bad quality is expected, great fun though...
