I think the ticket is not in re-branding, it is in offering brand name distribution as a service. In that you offer a manufacture an opportunity to grow its brand. The more brands and the more products offered you as a distributor gain recognition by building sales for them. In that you may be able to attract other brand names and do the same. The name endures as long as the manufacturer does.

In that what is crucial is digital documentation and electronic data services and that can even be grown into translation services, that being converting that document into other languages for them.

A singular narrow focus may seem ideal, but it is only attractive in its simplicity, in the reality of today markets it is tantamount to having tunnel vision.

Pitster left some bad taste in some customers collective mouths when they offered the Xingyue 400 dual sport in the US. When they broke, and they did, nobody could get help for their bike from Pitster. They seemed to have some sort of deal with Puzey when they offered the Shuopu Science-built XTR 250 enduro and motard, but I know that the bikes weren't street legal, and some potential customers in some states could not get a straight answer from Pitster regarding those bikes and if they could buy them which left some people annoyed.

I think Pitster offering the Galaxy XTR 230 is a good thing, and the Skyteam retro bikes are a good lineup for them, but a full-size street bike is probably out of their realm.

That’s is how they are listed with the NHSTA and under the WMI of L14

That information is propagated by administrators in China, That being the World manufacturing Identification is entered by an agency operating in the country the manufacturer exists within.

    http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/manufacture/

WMI information is feed through a data link to the NHSTA, then augmented with a VIN deciphering document and letter that discloses the “Agents of Process” or who is making and who is selling the vehicles, they are added to the database to meet federal regulations, in parts as in 565 and also 566.
    http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/manufacture/

    This is the manufactures website….
    http://www.shuopuscience.com/

I checked the EPA database of conforming highway legal motorcycles, I searched for shuopuscience under OEM and none came up for 2008,2009 and 2010.

What is important to know is that the agent of process for all the Retro Street Bike is recorded as Jiangsu SACIN USA and they are incorporated in Delaware. Those are all street legal and also all EPA certified, I know I checked.

So Pitster now has at least three OEM supplying them, their primary line is off road, the Galaxy is not highway legal, Galaxy is Guangdong Yinhe Motorcycle Group Co. Ltd has a WMI of LWP, they have no EPA certified highway legal motorcycles and do not meet the federal regulations of the NHSTA.

They are all amateurs, they learn as they go.

They could be offering three brands names, Shuopu, Yinhe and Sacin. They could legitimatize drop shipping all they need is to address the legality within each state.

the skyteam ace 125 cafe racer / vintage motorcycle replica of the honda dream is documented a little bit on our website....http://moto-scoot.net/skyteam_ace.php

right now the bike has just passed the EPA emmision testing for sale to the U.S. market. it will be imported by skyteam usa. pitsterpro is ONLY a retailer of motorcycles made by skyteam / sacin just as we are at moto-scoot. i have been in close comunication with skyteam usa on developments regarding the ace 125 and have been told last week that the usa version is in production with the new epa requirements installed, and should be on the market here by march 2012. the msrp will be around $2200.00 for the usa and i anticipate allot of units sold at that price. moto-scoot has had a huge amount of success building performance mods for the sachs madass, and we can't wait to get ahold of the ace for some performance parts options that we will offer.
i anticipate the suspension front and rear will need to get reworked, and if the rider position is not suited for some riders, we could also offer a standard ergonomics setup as well. the push-rod motor with what will probably be a weak stator ect. will obviously benefit from some reworking too. we build pipes, and intake upgrades, and stage kits for the madass, and we'll do as much that can be done to the ace's old school mill as possible. once we get the ace 125, we will have it at our fab shop on the dyno and we'll document the read-outs for the performance gains each stage offers, just like we did for the madass motor.....http://www.moto-scoot.net/performance_madass1.html

Pitster is more then a retailer, however they do sell online so their website represents a virtual retail store they added online parts diagrams that link to part lists that can be purchased online, if the parts are actually stocked is another matter. However Pitster operates also as a distributor as they sell to brick and mortar retail stores. They look more like a multinational company if not a distributor globally they are managing or franchising globally their brand name.

I would or could only assume that Jiangsu Sacins operations in the USA(Jiangsu Sacin USA) have staff and operate an actual warehouse in the Delaware were they are licensed? That or you are getting these units and spare parts directly shipped to you from the factory? Because up till now it looks as if all the current sales they have to date are coming to the market through Pitster and likely through a warehouse managed by the later.

How would people get access to Skyteam units sold in the USA? They have only one dealer as of today and that be Moto-Scoot and is only offering one model they manufacture or do you also sell their 125cc line?

Skyteam may be attempting to build its own dealer network? But that is redundant with consideration to Pitster existing and in that only in realty adds costs and in that reduces profits or raises prices.

The egos and lack of understanding basic business principals screw it up, the factory is best served by one single distributor that offers the products exclusively under the OEM brand. Factory to distributor to retail dealer/customers, not factory to distributor to multiple distributors that are selling to different dealers and also to the customer directly.

Many paths lead to one destination, not all paths are the same and not all paths carry the same tolls, choose your guide wisely?

If you are an OEM and have formal operations in the USA you do not necessarily have to pay for EPA testing. If you are an ICI you will if you do not have a contractual agreement with an OEM and that would be related to whether that OEM does or does not have its own testing facility/capability. Basically it is not cut and dried, the path you take is a matter of who you are and how capable you are as in how much real and actual knowledge and or ability you possess.

The EPA offers all the information needed….it is not exhaustive, it is actually comprehensive, but in that it requires comprehension.

I am here to offer both comprehension and also some composition, the attempt is to express it to any that may have an interest.

If you do not have the ability and or knowledge….you then have to pay for it, obviously.
