Being able to do a stoppie easily is always a sign that a brake system is working well :-)

Interesting site, with lots of pictures how the Benelli looks like "under the plastics".

10-20-2012, 01:27 PMLast post on that thread is August 1. A shame as they were mentioning some future modifications. They certainly don't like the welding job on the gas tank "油箱到处可见未经打磨的“焊屎”!Something about "welding feces"?

Hi there, I have a friend who has just bought the Benelli Silverblade 250 maxi scoot. I saw it in the flesh last Sunday. After a quick little ride around, I found that it is quite a lively scoot, but very short in wheelbase compared with my Jetmax, and Burgman Executive(s). The wheels are 14" front and rear. The cubby in front is really small and very shallow, can't stash much in it. The key release mechanism for the seat is quite temperamental, I couldn't get it to unlatch the seat, but my friend could. The top-n-tail design of the high versus low beam lights is really different. Air filter sits on the left side of the rear swingarm unlike the Jetmax's airfilter positioned under the forward portion of the seat - design.
I think that overall though the handling is quite good, and would definitely be more suitable for riding round town and dealing with stop & start traffic than a BJ600/QJ600 would. You won't have to worry so much about gears, clutch and the grabbing of a chain final drive. YMMV.
My same friend has 3 BJ600's sitting in his garage, owned by his nephews. They don't ride them around town/city... instead they use scooters for that type of riding.

That has to be some sort of Hydro lock issue. Water or coolant leaked into the cylinder and water does not compress.

That was my initial thought as well, but no start motor will have the force to do such damage with one of the chambers "locked", and it can't fill up so quick during normal running.
Or it was a catastrophic valve failure, the valves blocking the piston from rising.
That might happen when you rev engines in neutral at their rpm limiter for a longer time.
Seems a popular doing on youtube and youkou.
Must be a lot more behind this story ... very interesting to know ...
