Sorry if this isn't in the right forum, couldn't find one that seemed appropriate so thought this was the closest one. I'm trying to get an idea of what the market is like out there in terms of Chinese motorcycles available. I currently ride a Jincheng JC250-6 in Beijing. She has been overall good to me with a few relatively long-distance trips (including 1700km to Yantai/Qingdao). I have named the bike "Mafan" (麻烦) however as there have been problems- crappy battery from the previous owner, loose chain, leaking gas tank, and sometimes funky gear shifting. But I've still enjoyed the ride as she's put up with a ramming from a e-bike going full speed the wrong way down the road as well as some particularly rough road outside of Qingdao (I've never seen so many potholes so big before).
Mainly I'm interested in what Chinese bikes people ride for commuting in the city that are also good for longer trips- comfortable for a full day of riding multiple days in a row, so these would likely be in the 200cc range as well.
Looking forward to people's input!CFMOTO 650TR

Nice! Impressed with the range. What brand is it? Don't see any name anywhere.

02-04-2012, 10:23 PMI have a few also. But My Favorite right now is this Bick Ruckus Clone in 150cc. I bought this after a surgery last year so I could keep riding.
It just as big as a fullsize rucks but without the 4K price tag. Will sit at 50mph all day long according to my vapor.

This has been my only China Moto a CCW tha Heist
Picked it up back in April 2011 and have put over 11000 km on her so for.
Done some work to the motor and the carb tuning her up a bit
I get about 200km on a 7.5 liter tank
In 33 days I have a 3800 km round trip planned from my house to Daytona FL for bike week, here in the States.

My favourite Chinese bike would still be 嘉陵大白菜, that is JiaLing JH-watever (they come in 150-200-250cc).
It's bulletproof, you can license one if you wish. Cops don't pay attention anyways, so you might not want to go legal.
I guess it'd start underwater.
My friend dropped one flat nose down on a cement block - nothing happened.
They're dirt cheap.
All parts (stock & aftermarket) available from taobao.com
The most expensive motard version is 6880 yuan.

@Gardo, that is a wicked looking bike! Did you buy it back in the states? What's the size of that engine?
@Steve_Halt- Nice! The supermoto's are pretty popular I've noticed, and after some of the roads I've gone over in China up to now, I can see why. Not to mention the versatility if you're trying to get around traffic jams. I've been lucky with what my Jincheng has been able to handle so far. Though it is by no means an off-roading bike, it's been able to handle some pretty gnarly roads with little more than some miscellaneous rattling afterwards :)CFMOTO 650TR
