#1 Chinese Fighter Pilot Helmet Review04-22-2008, 07:49 AMor some collectors, it’s stamps or coins or butterflies. I have a collection of Snapple bottle caps, 378 of 'em. Each with a different pithy factoid printed on the inside. For example, “You burn 20 calories per hour chewing gum,” and “Pigs can get sunburned.” I keep a big bowl of the caps in the bathroom in case I finish reading my People magazine.

Yeah, saw those on Ebay. I have been collecting Flight Helmets since I was a kid. I have about 50 now on shelves in my hobby room. Never paid a nickle for them. Always got them from the Quartermaster. When a helmet was updated, or was in an ejection the pilot would surrender it, and it would go into a huge box to be sold at surplus auction. I would just go in and dig till I found them. Nothing beats rolling around in dirty BDU's to get to a helmet. Now I just need to figure out how to get someone to give me one. Have yet to buy one yet, and I wont brake the chain now..

I have one of those at my house, my old roommate bought it as a joke. it was funny for like 2 days though, not really a great investment since its been sitting in neglect for 6 months.
