Who is SOMOTO?
They claim to be partners with Haojin Group.

Yet in other listing they are using the Qingqi brand name?

The designs we have already seen….will this require a new cast of characters to address this?

Nothing offered with a Suzuki engine….not that I am such a Suzuki fan, it just seems that the Suzuki 250 engines are the better engines.
I’d like to see something designed around the GN250 engine or the 250 engine version Qingqi offers and I have said that too many times.
I also see much better ratings on the Loncin 223cc OHC single, I also think it is odd that they are advertising the 229cc as a OHC with the same specs as the current 229cc OHV…did that get messed up in the translation?
Budget engines and higher prices will not be order winners…..

I guess that the Suzuki partners have limited licenses, maybe they cannot sell the engines to others?
They I believe can sell them under their own brands though.
Part of distribution consideration is the a matter of an economy of scale, selling more reduces the costs of operations, that being the operational cost per unit falls with each additional sale as long as you have an efficient system. I said this before unless your employees are getting back to back calls or cannot keep up with orders then you are not selling enough and in that you need more models.
Tastes…it is why they have menus in restaurants.
Part of the reasons the online vendors do better is that they have many offerings.
That could be done better if the model were all differentiated by the source…that being the Original Equipment Manufacturer.
Can the GN250 be sold in the USA? Certainly the entire line of 250 models Qingqi has can be. A distributor can offer multiple brands. Those have already been EPA approved…..offer more and let the dealers choose from those brands and models that are best for their markets.
For that type of business model to work it would require not just one operation center, likely would require one center and then at least three more warehouses for efficient transportation logistics. They all have to be linked with one inventory management software application, relational databases that are also linked to the source factories. One central server accessed through a VPN like Citrix offers.
Standard offering from each OE manufacturer line and then custom versions and those can be sold through a unique brand and also as conversions kits.

My bad thought they were working with the Grand River Group.
Haojin is not Haojue, couple of letters make big difference.
