11-01-2013, 08:27 AMSince, because, and while everything in today's world is USB chargeable, I finally got around to enhance my wife's Skyteam with something suitable.
And because I'm dead cheap, I went for the lowest cost I could. I got me one of these:

Converter was reduced when I bought it, and it did cost me only $5.30 (incl. shipping :D) Dust caps are 10pcs in the set, but my bag had 11! Yupee!!! :D
Anyway, I connected the converter through a fuse directly to the battery and routed the USB plugs under the handle bar (we don't want to ruin the aesthetics of my lady's bike now, do we?):
Everything works for now. Plugs do not fall due to vibrations. Little, but useful extra

Personaly i like the 12V lighter output as i can connect more things to it like a camera battery charger

11-04-2013, 07:25 AMLighter socket is just a "redundant" link in the charging chain for me, and that's why I decided to eliminate it completely.
