Hi all :)
I would like to introduce my bike here a bit :) I bought her new, around 4 months ago. So far she's done 2700km and the only problem i've had was that the clutch cable snapped at around 1,5k km. It's probably quite early, but as I live in a city centre constant stopping on traffic lights and the traffic jams do the job :D It has been really great four months and I can just say that I love this bike :D
Ok, I don't want to be boring, so straight to the point. What I've done with the bike so far Is:
-Stainless steel downpipe
-Lextek stubby exhaust can
-30mm Mikuni carb with 112.5 main jet
-42mm double layered foam air filter
-NGK Iridium spark plug
-Performance Casoli CDI
-17T Front Sprocket
-Tyres: in the back Michelin Pilot Sporty 110/70 and front Pilot Street 70/90
What i would say was my favorite mod is surprisingly the NGK Iridium spark plug :D It was the cheapest, easiest to put on and It made a bike run much smoother and a bit leaner (good in my situation as my bike was running a bit rich), even the exhaust sound changed to a bit deeper.
And plans are:
-NGK Ignition coil
I don't want to fit a big bore kit, as i think it's not worth a hassle. I'm quite lazy and It seems like to much messing around :D
Apart from that I didn't do much to the looks of the bike. All I've done is I changed the mirrors for some cheap ones from Ebay, because some twat knocked her over on a car park and broke the stock ones. I also don't really have any plans to change the looks of her, but have a few ideas . ;) I want to sort out the engine first and then we'll see.
This is how she originally looked:
And that's now:
Does anybody have any ideas how to further modify the engine?Last edited by LivinProof; 10-11-2015 at 08:56 AM.

Welcome livingproof , looks like a nice bike you have there .
Here is my suggestion as to modifying the engine. Don't.
Presumably you want to modify the bike so it will go faster?
I'm just taking a wild guess here...
The things you have changed so far don't reduce the engine life , they just allow the engine to reach its potential (such as it is)
Spend time and money if you must on suspension, brakes and tyres. These are the things that make a motorcycle go faster and make you a better rider.
Tyres last 10,000km, brake pads last a few thousand and good shocks and fork springs last the life of the bike.
Hot engines blow up after a few thousand km.
Ride the bike not the engine.

Just to clarify that a bit. If you took that bike to your local racetrack and asked the fastest guy there to do a timed lap on it, his time would be a benchmark for you.
If you can't do the same time on the same bike? What is the difference?
Its skill and acquiring that skill is a lot more fun than rebuilding engines .
You may never want to is a be a racer but the track is a wonderful place to ride and once you really master that bike, well then you realise that horsepower is just a bunch of bullshit.

Of course I do agree to that, but I have no race track around and therefore no way to enjoy it. I wish I could though :) I do all the modification for a pure joy of doing them and I know It will never be a proper race machine, it's a 125 :D what could I do about the brakes? I was thinking about making them better some time ago, but didn't really follow that idea. Would CBR 's calipers fit for example?

There is quite a bit of improvement to be had in the brakes by trying different (softer) brake pads. If there is no racetrack near you I suggest you move to New Zealand where there are lots of tracks and a thriving class for 125/150 streetbikes.
Seriously though you are on the right track with those michies

Would you possibly recommended any?

With Chinese bikes--don't touch the engine; just find things around the engine, like you mentioned you had plans for, and sprockets. Great starter bikes, or commuting (I put 33 miles round trip daily commuting on my TMEC 200 enduro, and after over 10k miles will continue to do so until I run it into the ground and I buy a new one), but not so great modifying the engines for racing or more power.

Cheers Zhu, I'll definitely look into it as this is something that I've had on my mind before. Missed the postman today, my new air filter and oil for it are to be picked up tomorrow :) with the bigger filter I should be able to tune the carb more easily.

You might want to read that just to brush up on carb tuning theory.
