New guy - question about plates

Hi everybody!

This is Paul, so glad to start posting in this forum guys!
im currently living in Shanghai and I'm expecting to get my license and then get a cheap bike and everything.... but here comes the problem, license plates in SH... What can i do? I wanna ride as legally as possible, but affording a SH plate is just impossible for me, I'm not thinking of fake plates, but how about getting them from another province? what are the risks? any experience from SH bikers?
