Hi Humanbeing & NzBrakelathes
Many thanks I'll take a look at these links... incidentally I've got it running OK ish on the DC CDI that was on the bike when I got it, the problems were caused by a single broken wire at the stator and the carb being filthy.
Unfortunately I run the battery flat with with testing so I'm waiting on a charger coming, after which I can do some more playing with the air/pilot screws (another learning curve for me lol).
Will post the next time I've had a play around with it! :)WIP: 2010 Superbyke RSR (QM125-2D) with 2015 QJ157FMI-2 (KSR, Generic Code x, Keeway RKV) engine, Original DC CDI/wiring, custom fabricated front engine mounting.

hello. and sorry for my english.
i have Suzuki GZ125 99' and must replace broken original CDI.
this 8 pin CDI unit have similar plug (8 pin - 4 pins in 2 rows) like original gz125 cdi unit.
GZ have TPS but GN125 doesn't.
this CDI from K157FMI will work with my GZ125 if i remove TPS and TPS wires? in my country this K157FMI CDI have description "GN125 CDI replacement" and easy to get than used original one, but i afraid burn something in my bike. pls help

8pin CDI is 3x cheaper than CDI 2+3pins (like original GN CDI, second picture) that why i was ask. if it will work (if i good connect wires) and nothing burn ;) than i will be happy. i judge performance when i do it.

Maybe we will find in your location someone who have a keeway rks. We can try.

Are u 100% sure it's the CDI's problem?
Sometimes pickup (although it's RARE) is the cause https://translate.google.com/transla...thorid%3D75082 ...
---
CDI somtimes may repairable (ie. the IC still in working order...)
