#1 help needed to fix a Skyteam V-Raptor03-19-2017, 02:58 PM
I need a new or used complete engine for my Skyteam V-Raptor 250
Can anyone help me find it in Europe so I can skip the terrifying shipping and custom expenses for items coming from China ?
Any help or advice is welcome

prices range from 250 $ from chinese sites to 599 on a german site
but if you add shipping expenses and custom taxes you end up to almost 600 anyway
I paid 820 euros for the whole bike so this expense is out of discussion
hope to find a decently used engine over europe, maybe even a new one with another name on it (as long as it is the 166FMM type), Loncin or Lifan or Zongshen or else does not seem to make a big difference, they look very similar indeed
if I had time and money to waste I could even think of "transplanting" a water cooled unit on the Raptor (a guy in Australia did it with nice results)

03-20-2017, 01:04 PMDamn! 600 euros?! It's better to buy a second hand bike and use it a donor.
Or get a new bike and use the Skyteam as donor :D

yeah you're damn right, pal
i got an answer from someone in Sicily who sells a used dirt bike for parts
Zongshen engine but the type is ZS167FMM
not sure if it fits and moreover it seems a very old one, he knows nothing about kms done
this is the problem when you look for something that you cannot see and touch and check in real life, you have to trust the seller at the very end of a deal

I thank you all for your answers and advices, guys, but I contacted already most european importers/dealers/sellers and they do not sell complete engines............they ask me what parts I need
the few ones who do sell the entire engine ask over 500 euros
the engine could be ordered from China at 250 $ but sending it over europe plus italian custom taxes (22% IVA + some more on the declared value) gets the final price even higher than 500-600 euros
in order to just buy parts, i'd need to dismount everything and check damages and although it seems the most reasonable choice, this is exactly what I wanna avoid to keep expenses as low as possible
that's why I am looking for the less expensive complete new engine I can find over the european community or eventually a decently used one
