BOTH Engine maker http://www.tyanmotor.com/ & bike maker (WMI: LD3) http://www.tayomotor.com are related (under SAME investor)
Anyway the 125 https://www.ajsutton.co.uk/spares/ch...e=ZONTES&uID=0 https://translate.google.com/transla...n_i_k_104.html are close enough/ parts pics from cmpo.co.uk / those Honda shop manual http://kjaer.com/media/187148/XL125L...ervice_Cat.pdf gave the general idea how to get the job doneLast edited by humanbeing; 08-21-2017 at 12:57 PM.

Speaking of those original "Tyan" designs (125 and 150 cc balanced and non balanced OHC engines), "Humanbeing" if it isn't to much fuss for you, can you abstract some things we need to know about them - how they are ranked comparing to "common" motorcycle engines, CG, CB, GS clones, any common parts, weak points, need-to-know facts, etc.?
I am asking this, because I can see that bikes fitted with "Tyan" engines, popping up more and more often, but at the same time, they are some sort of "Terra Incognita" for me and also for local C-moto enthusiasts.Ask me nothing - I DO NOT speak english. Really...

天釔 Tyan are famous for modding here & there from Jap design...
The engine in that bike: Crankcase reassembles CG (u can guessed from the lower jug gasket) Some chinese mod = Putting tyan crank/ jug & piston kit/ head on CG clone... | Head: Resemble GS but cam had bearing | Lightweight piston & thin rings | balanced...

Tyan's early fake GS engine http://www.motorfans.com.cn/thread-17486644-1-1.html driven ppl became nuts (No direct fit parts...)

Bottom line: are those "Tyan" engines marked as TY and TYNT (balanced) durable as much as any decent CG, CB or GS clone? No other unpleasant catches?
