That’s my favorite Chinese motorcycle…they were selling them here in the US in a 270cc version, which it seems was only offered in the USA? They since stopped offering them…the only reason I did not buy one is there was no local dealer.
They keep boring it out and now have a 320cc version of that engine.

I would not be too complacent ridding it without the fan working properly.

Interesting. I've only ever seen the 250cc and 300cc version in China.
I've managed to upload a vid of my wife and i riding down Anji mountain on Youku. It took 4 hours to upload. The video is 11 minutes but after 3 minutes my wife turns the camera so the video is shot upside down. Gutted. We still have some shorter vid's that i'll post soon. They'll be more interesting.

This is us crossing the Huangpu river on a little bridge in the rain. All those hours on the wooden planks doing the bike test actually paid off. http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjc0MDU0NDEy.html
Another short vid of us riding in convoy up the moutain. If you look carefully you'll see two CJ750's coming down in the opposite direction. Brave men!

Hi Dewsnap,
Thanks for your courtesy in giving me the chance for a test ride on your RR which took a bit longer than I intended but I really missed the junction. This is not my terrain, believe me. I live in Pudong. I did not like to steel your bike. I want to buy one. But... Tomorrow I go to the dealer again. I've found an option for the license plates. The bike is great. Besides te down shifting. I was one time in TianMa circuit and tried one of the japaneese bikes there (which I figured out later are illegal), a Honda Bandid 250, 40 HP! (claimed). The feeling was like 20 HP. OK, 9 years old. Your RR felt much better.
Cheers!

I am a big fan of those motorcycles and noticed that engine on other Chinese brands. I am predicting that since they went the distance with EFI and meeting the new emission, Lifeng will get a boost in the market.
I am not thrilled about the Jonway models’ design but it does come with that engine. I wonder if others will utilize it, I think you may see more models in the future from other manufactures offering the 320cc EFI engine?

Hey MJH. You certainly know a lot about this Lifeng engine. I've never seen those Jonway bikes before. Where do you get all your info?
Maciej, i never really thought you'd stolen it lol, i was only jesting. I was pleased that you rated the bike so highly especially after having ridden bigger bikes in the past. My wife actually got a call from Aunty Wang at Pubei Lu today, she said that you'd bought the bike. That's the 3rd Raptor they have sold as a result of my recommendation, so i think i'll get a free oil change which is cool. Glad you managed to get it plated. I'll look forward to riding with you soon.
Another quick update on the Raptor. After the Anji trip in the rain, pretty much all the electrics on the bike died. Indicators, headlights, speedo, rev couter, horn all stopped working. That was the first time i'd used the bike in the rain, and the cheap componants couldn't handle it. But on a positive note, the Raptor dealer replaced everything immediately at no extra cost. I must say the service from the Regal Raptor dealer here in Shanghai has been fantastic. I'm really happy with the mechanics, they really know their stuff.

Ha ha, yes I was there when Wang Ayi called your wife. She told me that. I have to wait up to 2 weeks for the plates now. This is hard
. But the good thing about this shop is you come in and they have bikes in store you can buy immediately, with Guo3, and they take care of your demand and take you seriously. This is a new experience for me in SH. Regarding the electrics, who knows if there isn't any correlation with the aftermarket alarm yo let install? You posted before, the battery died somewhen, too. And the riding feeling on your bike was really great. i mean when accelerating and keeping speed. Very agile. Very smooth. For sure an advantage of the parallel twin. The torque at low revs felt good, too, and no vibrations. That means the EFIs work syncro for both cylinders. The only issue was when down shifting, the engine died without playing with the throttle, which shouldn't be. Perhaps it can be improved.
Take Care,
Maciej
