    I see allot of similarities in the KTM and Zonghen engines, not identical however very similar.

    Here is a video of a motorcycle sold in The Ukraine called a Falcon Speedfire 250, not all the speedfires sold have the water-cooled ZS170MM-2, the engine is not the NC250, it a different engine from Zongshen it is rated at 16kW the NC250 is rated at 19kW and is a ZS177MM, both have 4-valves however the NC250 is a six speed and the former a 5 speed. Some of the Speefires have a 223cc air cooled engine, other have this ZS170MM-2 type and is what this one has in this video.

    That AD is overrating the engine, not uncommon. The specs they published are for the 300cc.
    they also can be found selling with a ZS166FMM, which is the 223cc engine.

    Typically the price goes up with the engine option, these bikes come with up to a 320cc twin sold as the Johnny Pag Falcon in the US and a RZ35R in Argentina, I am not seeing much differs in the components. The production costs are pretty low or as low as they can get when so many share the same component parts. In that it is the engine that adds costs, especially if it has EFI which the 320cc does.

    I am most interested in budget engine these have that they rate at 21hp and also the 279cc version that Zongshen also manufactures. All these components are what can be called second generation universal parts, that are marginally better then what they replaced. Odd thing about the Chinese is that the common parts all move in synchronicity, the suppliers all make the same things. If they improve then all improve.

    Interesting, very interesting and not at all bad concept. It seems that the quality goes up so gradually that we can't though talk about first or second wave of China Bikes as of yet. Or maybe we are living the first wave right now.

    Here are the two engines, they call them the CBS250 and CBS300.


    They are showing up in the market, XGJAO has the CBS300 in its Yamaha knockoff. They call it a 300R. Really not that inexpensive.

    At first glance, we all would say - "one more Chinese "Wave-ish" bike", but "something is wrong" with the engine. Engine head is not standard clone of "Honda's" horizontal.

    Anybody knows anything...?
