PLA CJ750's

Been looking at CJ750s for a while - it might be the time to finally get one. Like to find a PLA CJ750 early type (small tail lights/turn signals and flat head engine) all military gear. 12v or 6v ? Any suggestions on dealers? Like to have the bike in top mechanical condition (engine/transmission). Need all paperwork for a US import too.

THE guy you want to talk to is Jimbosidecar. He's out of Beijing, customizes, does exports and is one of the most experienced CJ750 folks out there.

I can vouch (A little) for Jim's work. I rode two of his rigs while in BeiJing last Summer (Has it been that long already?. . .)

However, I'm pretty sure he stays away from restoring the original CJ motors. He replaces them with BMW plants.

I also visited Winston Sa's CJ shop down in ShangHai. He had some really nice looking refurbished CJ's there.

I'm pretty certain that both Jim and Winston ship worldwide also.

While Jimbo does sell cjs, his main thrust is the BMW engine. Long River specializes in 6 volt and that tis the chang you want.
