Here few pics in chronological order when the riders were leaving the parc fermé. I spotted the 2 Chinese riders on their Jingsheng. One of them (151) had an issue with his bike so he had to push it past the starting point and called the assistance.

Wei (152) finished 133th of the stage 1 and Su (151) 138th out of 150 riders.

So they did show up! You happen to have any info on those bikes?
I know there was a 950 twin (Luojia Highlander?) that was of some particular interest in Europe about a year back. You heard any more news about these bikes?

Not direct info about the bikes but for some guys at advrider.com they look very very close to Yamaha WR450!!! So perhaps the only JinCheng's components are the stickers and some cosmetic parts. But frankly who's cares.
Su and Wei passed through stage 3 which was quite a hell in the sand. Su is 89th and Wei 109th at this hour (some concurrents are still on the road). Good performance for these 2 guys.Ride report - Few weeks in South West China

No joke! Those are some good ol' jaw dropping pictures. You know it's going the be good when it starts with..
Definitely worth checking out and makes me REALLY want to take some time off and photograph the hell out of the race..maybe even rent some aircraft....if there are any left.
Brice, is it difficult to get photos there? Do you need a pass/press permit?

OMG!!!!!!!!! you got to rotate your head a little to get the horizon oriented properly but the incline is still amazing
