You know, that would initially make sense but providing some "motivating" points might not hurt. As Westerners, we're process oriented...and one of the first things you learn about dealing directly with any Chinese organization is they do not share that same understanding or "process". They don't perceive customer service to have the same value as we would here so trying to win points on that front won't work...they're manufacturers, not the dealer down the street (who does seems to provide some good service).

Being sponsored is about developing a relationship which has to be clear right off the bat. Sometimes you've got to literally spell out, why it's beneficial to manufacturer before they'll bite. They help supply parts and other materials and you help provide some exposure, photos, and testing of their products. Everyone gets something out of it.

Anyway, that's my .02 FWIW. I'm sure you'll do as you see fit.
