no big deal, not that news worthy IMHO. I had a large sized escooter in Ningbo, that would do around 50-60km on a full charge and would take around 6-8 hr to recharge. Granted it was heavy, since it had a whole line of lead-acid batteries wired together in series to give 36 or 48v (can't remember now), but it was a proper full sized scooter frame that actually had a petrol motorised equivalent which is the reason I bought it, even though every dealer recommended a smaller framed ecycle design with pedals so that I could get the range I wanted at the time. Yet, not one of them were interested one i-ota about satisfying my wish to buy lithium ion batteries... I'll try an dig out a few photos. Catch was that the scooter I had (which then a few other foreigners bought, with my assistance) was too big size and output and is banned in a few cities... like Shanghai.
