A service Manual is a Nice helper for these bikes. My Buddy is a Dealer so I picked up a ENGLISH Version Service manual for $20.

Yeah I've done it in the past, I found it easier to carefully cut the binding off and scan the sheets front and back in a copier (individual pages) and you're good to go. That's all dependant on if you have access/time for such things :) .

I'm looking to make it faster - I have ordered this end can and have arranged to have a full stainless pipe system made by a friend


I hope to change the sprockes to the 44/16 mix. What else can I do to bring this machine to life?

Welcome! Paint it matte black and put a red stripe down the side and it will go much faster. You are doing the two most immediate things, you will have to enrich the mix a bit and maybe play with the air inlet. A few owners of them on here, someone will chip in with something useful probably.
