I bought this little commuter bike for exactly that, commuting. I ride about 15 miles a day to and from work and I love the little thing. Problem is, I am moving up to Vancouver and making my commute 50 miles a day now and am looking for more of a long freeway commuter to go with that. Current miles on the odo is 360, but that increases as I ride it.
74mpg last time I filled it up. The engine combo is the same from a Suzuki DR200, so this still is well put together.
I purchased the bike and have tags on it that are only 2 months old. They are good until 12/14. Title is not in hand, but it is on the way from State of Oregon. Bike is paid for and it is mine. I have all the DMV paperwork that shows me as the owner.
The things I have done to the bike.
16T front sprocket. up 1
Opened up the exhaust.
Installed hand guards (Cycra Stealth)
Rejetted for increased hp. Bumps it to 20 hp.
Oil change at 200 miles, again when I get to 500.
Passenger pegs, grab handles removed (they go with the bike).

The Basics.
• Comfortable and unintimidating
• Well-tuned carb
• Metal 2.8 gal tank w/ locking gas cap
• 17-inch wheels open up tire choices
• Stainless-steel brake line
• Folding full-size off-road pegs (folding brake pedal)
• Electric or kick start
• Digital gear-position indicator. Wow!
• One-piece instruments with speedo and tach
• Bash guard/belly pan as standard
• LED tail light

If it was the dirt version with the 21 front, I'd be all over it. I needs me a trail bike.
Also, wrong side of the country unless we could get a MCM truck relay going!
