03-05-2011, 02:33 PMHi Guys,
I'm in the process of trying to remove the stickers but I think they may have lacquer on them? Maybe I'm mad - They seen not to be shifting
My bike is the XF125-GY-2B

use a hot hair dryer or heat gun. If there is any glue residue left over use butter, yes butter and a soft cloth and it should take the glue right off. If the bike has been sitting in the sun you might have a darker shade of the same colour visible.

Mine came off with heat but watch the plastic doesn't melt. Clean up with isopropyl alcohol or meths to remove butter fat ... especially if you want to stick more on later that is

Ahhh, REAL butter. Explains why the coffee jar I wanted to keep stuff in is now sitting on the kitchen bench smeared with yellow crap as well as glue residue that eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil, meths, alcohol and a scouring pad wouldn't remove. A trip to the store necessary but if the butter don't work SS, I will post it to you and you can use it alongside of that cactus next time you bump into the Cheng Guan.

Well done! What was in the tube? Was it hand cream? Lanolin perhaps?

Secret in cream = "oily ??? + surfactant" that f***s that sticky mess . Cheapy "Aqueous Cream BP" in big tub had many use OR DIY using oily thingy + surfactant in ur kitchen BUT this don't 100% work on m/c decal.

WD-40 always takes off sticker residue. I've never heard using butter.
