03-07-2011, 02:42 PMI purchased a Lifan 200GY-2 (Enduro) for my brother-in-law in 2006. I am now needing to start fixing stuff he broke on it. I am trying to find a parts diagram and parts list for this bike. I am also looking for a good place to get new parts for it in the USA.
Some of the parts I know I need are:
Keys - lost both keys, will most likely have to replace key switch, gas cap, and fork lock
Fenders - he broke both off
Lights - glass in most missing
Body panels - missing a few, not sure what is suppose to be there
After I get it started (no keys) I may find other items.
The worst part is this bike only has about 300 miles on it. He is just real hard on things.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
This a picture of it new.

Lol, "real hard on things". Anyway it seems the bike has only got cosmetical damage. Maybe build something strange of it?
Edit: Was he a chinabike hater? I should not laugh but I just find this hilarious.
Edit: Fix the bike for good. I can say it is much more worth than berserk rage.

03-07-2011, 05:15 PMWelcome, billkater!
Yes, it was a damn good looking bike 300 miles ago! Hope it's not too much trouble to return her to her original glory!
We love pictures, so don't be shy about documenting her resurrection. we can all learn from your efforts!

03-07-2011, 05:36 PMHe is a Vietnam vet and lives in the river bottoms area. He is very paranoid of everything. He has never had anything nice and don't know how to take care of anything. I just want to get it back in the best shape I can for him.
Thanks

I see, you are doing very great job then. I wish you best of luck and apologise I can't really help you. Hopefully you fix the bike for him, and hopefully you help him to maintain it. The bike you have is great.
Edit: Was that Lifan by the way Suzuki DR copy? If so, then might get plastic parts from Suzuki. Aftermarket plastics should be doable to mudguards. For other plastics I might even try doing them of aluminium.

03-09-2011, 04:08 PMI hate to say it but Hooper didn't have the ignition switch. I sent a email to Lifan Engine Parts and they directed me to call their parts dept. The answer I got from them was;
"Just go threw the pictures on the website until you see one that looks right and order it. If it don't work return it."
Not much help. They said the same thing about the front fender. (Hooper had it)
Wish Hooper had the parts, seemed like a nice guy and easy to get along with.

Go to Chinariders forum and tell them your story, if you get no answers here, you will find they offer more mechanical help and usually know of parts sources in USA if they exist or alternatives.
