03-02-2011, 08:14 PMHello everyone.. I've been reading your forum for months now and used some of the info to mod my Pulse Adrenaline 125 supermoto - also my father has the 200cc version.
We've been looking to advance the timing. I can't find any race CDI, the Kamikaze Pro ones seem to not be made any more? Does anyone now if they are still sold?
I wanted to ask... does anyone know what the standard timing is set at and how far can it be retarded or advanced? Can this be done on the 'pick up'?
Also, is it safe and worthwhile to do?
Thanks for your help: Craig T

03-02-2011, 09:57 PMHey, thanks for the quick reply.
The CDI shown look the same as ours, but have cables coming out of the casing which ours do not have.. what are these for please? Does anyone know?
Has anyone fitted one of these units?
Again thanks for your help.. Craig T.

03-04-2011, 10:18 PMHey. I've seen somethin like that b4 for the scooters. It runs AC CDI - me and my dad tried to make a GY6 CDI work on our bike but it would not work no matter how we wired it. In a thread on here people said it is not a CDI and it is somthin else, different to other CDI. I think this is why we need to look at changing it at the pick up.
That pic shows 13-14 degrees of timing advance, which is about standard for our bikes.
Thank you for the info mate

You can use an english-speaking agent, like taobao focus. They also have a web search on their page for taobao items. http://taobaofocus.com/
Don't know if you read russian up there now they gone home, but heres another page http://taobaofocus.com/ru/Kinlon R/T KBR JL200GY-2

04-13-2011, 07:50 PMHi Jape.. if you are still looking for a CDI for the Qingqi / Pulse Adrenaline bike I found the RM200 CDI here www.matsumotoracing.co.uk
The CDI above do not fit our bike, the super one is really cool but only for GY6 scootz.
Will report back once I have tested it. Craig T over and out :D
