It looks like a stunt bike, I really dig those.
I think that Yinhe is a good company to contact, you would have to move to china though. That design could be built around the Loncin 223 engine and Yinhe could manufacturer it and would have all the bits you would need.

My point would be that you pick the engine first and then a company that has all the supporting component on the shelve already.

Trickers are or were at one time in production, they had to have been they are all over the internet. The Aire version maybe not though…you may be right on that?
I like your idea and I also like Yinhe…I also think that assembly has to come with real good documentation, all the CAD diagrams and then schematics and absolutely part lists. If you want to make some of it domestically in Africa then you have to be able to manufacture it first in the China. For cost reasons and to build a relationship with them. They would be your supply source and its all a relative chain and has to be babysat and by people that are tenacious and also talented.
This is a Tricker in more conventional street form.

Assuming you looking to build bikes to sell and not just looking for parts to make just one. I could be wrong but I believe the Tricker is derived from the XT225 and the the Aire from the Tricker. So the same path could be taken based on the Galaxy XTR250.Last edited by MJH; 04-25-2011 at 03:47 AM.

The Yamaha is sold in a limited market and is expensive as all of their products are. I think a lot of people would consider buying one of these stunt and street versions and if made in china it be inexpensive.Last edited by MJH; 04-25-2011 at 03:53 AM.

GAS GAS also offers that type of motorcycle, called a trial bike.
http://www.gasgasmotos.es/en/trial.html
I'm sure others do as well, and that there is a group that have lives that revolve around trials and trial competitions.
Yamaha just gave a trial a place to put your ass, made it an ultralight urban street bike.
I personally think the online Chinese parts stores are like giant virtual rummage sales. Developing those sites and without any specific models and specific part numbers and blow up diagrams is to me nothing more then exercises in futility. Not very functional or sustainable. This kind of sort of part goes with this kind of sort of bike and a picture to make sure it is what you want….maybe.
Has anyone on this site ever bought a part from one of them? I suppose if you're lucky and very patient you could find what you need, maybe.

I own several trials bikes. They are great fun but no use on the road. Top speed is maybe 40km/h, no seat, steep front geometry etc. They are wonderful things though and perfect for what they are designed for.
What I am trying to do has similarities but is quite different.
MJH, which Yamaha are you describing above? Thx for your advice on Yinhe, I will explore. The Loncin motor is air cooled? I really want water cooled. What is the Zongshen 169/170 like?
Please can other readers post on the styling aspect. Put in some of your own ideas/pics if you have some.

A Yamaha Tricker....the images are of prototype from 2005, then the yellow and black bike is the actual production bike. It has elements from a trial bike design ...but made practical for actual street use.
The Zongshen 169MM information from the manufacturer....

These good old boys are offering a version that revs much higher?
http://www.crossfiremotorcycles.com/...ike-motor.html
I do not think the engine delivers 26hp, the manufacturer does not rate it that high. As the vendor above is claiming.
最大功率 :11.5/7000(1±5%) according the Zongshen power...high torque though at 19@5000 rpm, seems good for a dirt bike or even better for an ATV.Last edited by MJH; 04-26-2011 at 02:00 AM.
