" Fine for tooling around city streets, learning how to master shifting etc. I would never ever take it on the highway."
"In your experience, and given you have a 227cc engine as well, do you fully agree with that statement?"

If MJH is talking about a Interstate Highway, I agree completely. The 229cc push rod is fine for a 55 MPH road but would be unsafe on a 70 MPH highway. Of course you could do it but not me. I want at least 500cc or more.

Actually, I don't want to ride a motorcycle on an Interstate like the ones around Atlanta anyway. Son of a bitches will cut you off and run over you in a minute.

You being in Denver really hurts the performance of these small displacement bikes. My DF had to be down shifted to fourth to make the grade at 5300'.

I don't know if Sunny sells direct. I think you have to buy from one of their retail dealers.

titus, I have a question. Why would you get this bike when you could get a used Ninja 250 for about the same price?

    Gardo,
Why buy a Heist or a Dang Fong Bobber when you can but a Sportster, Shadow, Virago, etc for about the same money?

There's something about owning a vehicle from day 1. I insist on only full synthetic oil in my engines, for example. Who knows how the used bike was treated. I know at least with a new bike that it'll be well taken care of and last me a long, long time. I can't say the same for a used bike.

Makes total sense. I doubt I'd ever take it on the interstates here. But we have plenty of mountain roads that are 55 mph or less that would be fantastic to ride on. From one fourteener to another. Through Rocky Mountain National Park... I can't wait to get it into the mountains. You don't need speed up there. Even my 50cc, once tuned for altitude could get me up to 45 on flat roadway. I think she'll tune out just fine for altitude.

    Gardo,
Neat looking trike. Get your buddy to start a thread here on his experience with the trike.
