I have no idea how long the tires will last but I can't see any wear on them in 1600 miles.

Don't get me wrong, This is not a dirt bike or even a dual sport. There is no rear suspension and the forward controls are poor in the dirt. I can get down my steep ass rough driveway just fine but not at speed like my XT225. Don't buy these hard tail bikes if you plan a lot of dirt riding.

The bike is fine for country roads but it is not an interstate bike. Some claim 80MPH out of their 167FMM powered bobbers but I call bs on that.

Nothing different about working on Chinese bikes but some mechanics refuse to work on them like they did back in the 1960s with Japanese bikes and cars.

I need the sheepskin pad if I'm going for a long ride same as my other bikes. Most stock seats are poor.

Vince, do you have actual experience with mechanics refusing to work on china bikes? Damn, that's cold. And probably pretty stupid in the current economy. Are they afraid they wouldn't know how to service them, or are they just dumbasses?

    sheesh.

A mechanic (who is not a dumb ass) here in the mountains refuses to work on Chinese bikes. He said he didn't want to fool with getting the parts because he doesn't have a source like he has for the Japanese,German, and American. He is always snowed under with repair work.

    jkp,
My comment about mechanics was in response to a question a page or two back. I do all the work on my bikes and don't need a mechanic.

If you are going to wrench on any bike you need some experience.

I dont plan on riding to much out on the county roads, but I know people who live out on em and just wanted to know if they would hold up. Also will it hold up to long rides, I mean like just cruising around.

Who knows how long they will hold up to long rides? I have 1600 miles on my DF and so far no problems. It could blow up tomorrow just like any other vehicle.

Well the tires seem rather nice. I am glad to hear that. Not quite what you would expect. I guess I will have to look into a new seat or some kind of padding. Bad back might not like the stock seat too much.

If you have a bad back then you need to worry about the hard tail not the seat.

There is no rear suspension on this bobber so I would not advise that a person with a bad back ride it. You need to look at another bike with a rear suspension.
