Replaced the main jet and I still hesitate taking off. I'm sure I need to dial in the air/fuel mix screw, it's starting to get frustrating. Checked the valves and gave the thing a tick, going back in to it when I have time Sunday. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003CJIJ0E the 100 is what I bought, and it seems to be more responsive over 15mph.

The main jet should not affect the low speed hesitation that you are experiencing..

Make sure that your accelerator pump is still working. It's easy to not get it right when replacing the float bowl. When you crank the throttle watch the accelerator pump and make sure it is going down.

How is the acclerator pump supposed to move? I just tried a google search and didn't find it for this carb. And how do I adjust it?

Thanks again barnone. I'll play with the mix screw some more and see if I can figure out that pump. I'm starting to think the pump may have been my problem all along. I also put a washer under the needle.

Good photo.Just make sure that the pump is being pushed down when you twist the throttle.

It isn't and it wasn't working before taking it apart. I remember seeing it and wondered what it did, so I twisted the throttle and it didn't move. I just shot an email off to Pit Motors about it to see if they had any ideas.

You need to get the pump part under that black plastic part. You have to take the float bowl back off to get the pump under the black part.


Red dots point to the area that I am talking about. The black plastic part needs to push down on the brass part when you rotate the throttle. You have to take the float bowl back off to get the pump under the black part.
