Must have been a manufacturing defect in the seat frame. Gumpstas offset is identical to mine. The actual mounts are square, it's the seat that sits way to the left. Chad ordered me a new seat, although I'm still waiting on my left side mirror so who know when I'll get it.

Good luck with chad. He told me he ordered a seat. Never had any contact afterwards and would not answer emails for a week. When he gave me the sunny sports phone# (his parts supplier) I called and they had no clue about my seat problem although Chad told me he had talked to them. I ordered the seat directly thru sunny sports on my own. Some have had good luck with Chad, I have not. I was actually thinking of buying several of these bikes to customize and resell, but will not be using extreme scooters . I travel to china quite a bit, so I may research the direct connection and buy by container if I decide to customize multiple units. Hope the new seat frame fixes our problem.

    Gump,
I bet you can get the wholesale price under a $1000 per unit for a container load. Check on a larger displacement 167FMM (350cc) engine while you are in China.

I got it off ebay from a seller called cycleshirley. they sell alot of custom bike parts. they accept paypal and shipping was fast.
it did not fit exactly-- the seat studs are 7" spread on most custom seats. the spread on the df bracket is about 8". so i made an
aluminum plate and drilled it to bridge the gap. works nice but not the best cosmetically. i will come up with a prettier fix later.

The cure to my wayward seat was to brutally shove the business end of my floor jack's handle into the seat frame and give it a couple of good yanks to the right. Sits nice and straight now. BTW... I used the same technique on those two frame rails below the seat that support the side of the rear fender. Not being used for my new fender any longer, I want to mount turn signals off them. But I needed them to sit a smidge lower and further out than they currently are to clear my new fender. So I again turned to my jack handle to -pursuade- them in place.

Has anyone tried removing the pinstriping on the gas tank and fenders? Did it come off easy or leave a bunch of residue?

From experience,if you do remove the stripes, use a hair dryer to soften the adhesive.DON'T use a heat gun, unless you have experience using one. They will blister the paint. Both of these units will spark when the internal thermostat kicks on and off.So I would do it with the tank off, drained of fuel, and completely dried out inside.I haven't done a DF but I have done other bikes.
