Thats great and more power to you man, I look forward to see your vision come to fruition.
Me I don't have the time or the a lot of the know how. I do have the vision and the great fortune to have people around me to make it real. That doesnt mean i dont wrench my own bike, I just do it under the watchful eye of those that know more. What has been great about my journey so far is that its been educational, and I've learned a lot.Gardo northern NJ/NYC

Itrguy, that is great you can do the work yourself, it honestly makes people like me jealous but I must say i have been learning a ton with my bike and not afraid to tackle anything these days because of this site and the great guys here. Weaver is a great guy and I am with Gardo on this one I will be continuing to use the man because he works with the bike every day and is the leader of mods on the Heist at the moment. I mean if you need surgery on your knee would you go to the guy that has done hundreds if not thousands and guarantees his work or would you go to the guy around the corner that has worked on a couple. I just know from my experience I would rather go with the proven! Again that is my experience. The great thing is we all have something in common and that is our Heist!!
Gardo when you did your airbag seat did you use anything special to drill into the engine mount? What size bit? I am hoping to install mine today or tomorrow. Anything else I should know regarding the install? Hints or suggestions? Thanks
This saturday July 23rd if any of you are close to Lexington, Ohio I would love to see a gathering of CCW owners if we could do it at Vintage Bike days. Let me know.
Keep on riding on!

Irish I have to say I agree with the way you put it and you damn right we not only all ride but we are the start of the Heist army.
As for the airbag I think a 1/4" metal drill bit was used. I had Tom install it on the bike when I was on a business trip. He's your best source of info on it.
Lexinton is about 9 hrs from me I might make the trip out there one Saturday night just need to throw the bike on the rack and drive outGardo northern NJ/NYC

Gardo, thanks for the reply. I will probably make the trip to lowes tomorrow and get a 1/4 metal drill bit to do the install. I may just give Tom a call in the morning to see if I need anything else for the install. I am excited to get it on and see the difference. As far as making the trip that is a long a@# drive. I am only 25 minutes from lexington and any time you want to come and bring the widow to Ohio believe me you will have a rider next to you when you get here! Hell being a heist owner means what is mine is yours right? your always more than welcome to swing by my place in central ohio!!! Sounds like the widow is running great and to take off quicker than a 500 on a 250 is sweet. I am jealous but that always gives me something to look forward to and to do in the future. Weaver rides will continue to be supported by me that is for sure!!! Wish i was closer to go there myself!
Keep on riding on!

Gardo - What do you think about the sprockets? Did you get to try a different setup or are they different enough that nothing else will work?
From what I can tell with the CDI it's kind of the same story. It's a DC cdi, which can be hard to find for this motor.
It'd be awesome if PIT/CCW comes out with something in both of these areas. Reading all the china bike sites the main mods are carb jetting, exhaust, gearing and cdi/coil. We're half way there man!

@Irish
I'm only about 2 hours away (give or take on the bike). I would love to come out saturday, however I will be honeymooning with my wife and out of state starting friday, too bad. Maybe another time, keep us posted!
Let me know what bit you end up using then (if it's not the 1/4), I'm seriously considering the airbag.

Looks like my build should be done this week so I'm trying to get my paperwork in order. As for insurance, I know several of you are using Progressive so I'm on their site trying to set that up. The only "Cleveland" anything listed is Cleveland T-Trike and if I select that none of the CCW models show up for selection (I see a softtail, 3 trikes and other) so that can't be the right choice. My Cert of Origin lists Qingqi as the make the only models listed are a couple QM125's and a QM100. Did y'all set your policies up online and if so WTF am I missing?

Through Progressive my insurance card reads "Year: 2010 (though it's a 2011) Make: Cleve Model: Tha Heist"
I believe it is/was listed as a Cleveland Trike for some reason (though the card cuts it off). I remember my insurance agent and bank being thoroughly confused.
Good luck!
