    Sorry about that, in the past used a nickle not stainless. Costs too much for me now.

    What type have you guys used to improve? i.e. regular, o-ring, X-ring

    Thanks for not making fun of my stainless suggestion (available only as a bracelet)

    TODAY I'm driving with trailor to pick up my DF250! Picture soon.
    Most chains sold with 120 links, is this a problem (purchased a 33 rear}

    My Bubba is home, nice people at the dealership in Sterling, IL. Registration & title no problem. Bubba is a stud, trailored home fine.
    Sad event to a fun day, lost my wedding ring I think at a gas station pulling my keys out. Ring in pocket because of work needing to clean hands after. Hoping it shows up in a spot that I may have left it.

    Man i have to get some new risers and handle bars for it..I cannot ride slumped over like this.. funny thing is I find risers all over the place but they are for 1inch bars,and i find bars all over and the bars are all 7/8 what is up with that? doesn't anyone have some relativly priced 7/8 risers anywhere???I like to sit up a little bit more and not fell like I am laying down on theas tank...but thats just me.
    Good news. Neutral should come easier as break in occurs. Google "7/8" handle bar risers" will get lots of hits but I think yiu need bars with more rise and sweep back. Also maybe you can adjust your bars up a bit.

    So you bought your DF at a dealership? Is there a web site for the dealer?

    Howdy! I've been lurking here for about the last 6 months, and have read this thread from "cover to cover" several times. What a great font of information! I've "sold" myself on getting one of these DF250 bobbers, but would really like to see one up close & kick the tires before taking the plunge. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a dealer near here...Myrtle Beach SC.... or better yet, is there anyone who may be making a trip to Myrtle Beach on one anytime soon? It's definitely worth a beer & a great seafood dinner if anyone would like to meet up and let me see one "in the flesh." It's worth it for me to find a nearby dealer, for anything else than to have a stick & mortar place that knows the bike & can offer parts & service if needed, that, along with having someone familular with bikes to properly set it up the first time. I'm no slouch turning a wrench, but without a good garage or shop, I'm a bit reluctant to try to assemble a motorcycle for the first time in my dirt driveway. How'bout it? Anyone planning a trip to Myrtle Beach care to show off their scoot?
    On another note, there is a "Chinabike" Dealer here... but I can't seem to get him interested in ordering the bike, (naturally he'd rather I buy something he already has in stock). Any suggestions as to how to persuade him that ordering a DF250 Bobber or five would be a good idea? Thanks!

    ConwayBob,
    Welcome to the site.
    Not much to put the DF together from the crate. Install handlebars, forward controls, battery, drain and add motor oil, adjust chain,etc.

    If you have any motorcycle maintenance experience you should be fine but it sounds like your local China bike dealer will work on the bike if needed.

    You could have the DF drop shipped at your dealer and they could put it together for their $65 an hour rate.

    As always, your suggestion is right on the mark and a "forehead slapper", I'll give him a call. Thanks.

    BTW, visiting his shop yesterday, he showed me a sizeable stack of carburetors that had all the adjustment screws & access ports factory sealed. All junked after failed attempts to unseal them. They were all pumper types, and I'm guessing all off of scooters, like the factory is making a concerted effort to prohibit altering or adjustment. Is this perhaps a mandated EPA requirement? The bobber has a reed valve carb doesn't it?
