CIMA = Lame
Canton Fair 15th-19th and CIMA 13th-16th
Sounds like 2 half ass displays in both places.
Why did you post all those pics from last years show?
Cheers!

What about the YF300 Engine?
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=5...ewcardfavirate
That’s appears to be a decent engine to design a motorcycle around? It was designed for motorcycle use not for an ATV.
What I do not understand is the connection with Taobao and Loncin, the prices direct from the factory should be less? Is the representation on Taobao retail?
$783.00 USD

Its difficult for me to imagine that one of these manufactures are not developing that engine into a production model.
It needs to be developed to meet the new emission standards, then if set into a series of designs it would be globally marketable.
But that’s the problem isn’t it, they really do not have any decent distribution systems, none of them do and none of them have enough of a consistent offering to support having one.
That’s why the result is re-branding, Loncin has to develop that engine itself and introduce it and really should not be selling it because nobody else has the capital to develop it correctly.
They actually have to, to address the government operated initiatives to enter the higher markets. They need that engine under the larger 650 they have introduced.
They need EFI versions for the domestic market and those need to be also distributed into both Europe and North America, they need higher standard models for lower prices.
I could see several models based on that engine, the 300cc engine is under represented with it power its midsize and globally marketable. But they have to combine production and mass produce it to meet all market standards.
If it meets the European and North American standards and approved to sell in China it would or could be the most popular model for the middle class, it would have to be priced right at around $4,000.00. The price goal should also be a global price, that being the same price in every market.

10-19-2011, 06:12 PMHey Bikerdoc, looks like the date on that post is July 2011? Isn't CIMA going on now? Cool pictures there. I found some of the Zongshen ebike I'd like to write an article on for http://plugbike.com/
You will see I already wrote something up about one of the bikes in that thread. I said the pic was from CIMA and would like to correct that if needed. If you all have any feedback on the article let me know. It is thin since I don't know much about Xinling.

This site rocks and everyone's knowledge of Chinese motorcycles is amazing.
Thanks!
