I've been looking around for new bars, and I came across Court House Customs - they make 7/8" bars - I really like the 'little titty bars' but it's all about personal preference. Thought you guys might be interested in these and others: http://www.chcustom.com/store/store.htm

Hey Fellow Heist'ers
I'm Toby from Thun in Switzerland.
I rode a Yamaha Bop (70ccm) for the last 6 or 7 years.
yamaha_bop.jpg
5 weeks ago my brave little fellow got stolen... :. (
Some people might call those scoots ugly, lame and sluggish but i realy LOVED every single nut and bolt...
Wanted to make a total rework this winter because next year i could have registed it as an Oldtimer!
Still getting sad when thinking about it...
Well, now i'm proud owner of a brand new Heist and that softens the pain quite a bit!
I picked it up two days ago in Zurich and had a loooot of fun the last 2 Days
2 minutes after i got it out of the transport a guy was like "what is that?"
Parked it infront of our local Harley store yesterday, came out, a guy standing next to my Heist "what is that?"
Drove home to get some gloves, (shitty cold already) came back out and two old fellows were like "what is that" : )
I get more attention than the lame guy with his Audi R8 Parked in my street! Just love the turning heads ^_^
May be its because people in switzerland just ride lame stock bikes whish may be caused by our very strikt vehicle/ traffic and emission laws...
In switzerland you need a permission to change the gearstick in your car... no joke...
But anyway...
I read all 106 Pages of this thread whish made my final decission to get my heist.
Had some good time reading about Gardos epic Lovestory with his widow, the shitwizzard and all the others
This thread is so full of Information and it would be a shame to not get this together in some kind of Wiki or homepage!
Anybody in for that? We could work through the pages like: I do 0-20 / XXX 20-40 etc.
I would love to get a list of availible/ compatible parts and the links to the manufacturers.
And because i'm totaly new in "the game" i could need some helping tutorials on Engine works etc.
Gardo: aren't you working on a Homepage or something like that? I could offer some Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and Aftereffects skills.
I have big plans with my heist and already some Questions:
1- The chain hits the fender when shifting. I know this is a common problem... What can i do? I put some plastik U-profile on the edge of the fender to temporary solve that problem.
Where can i get the heavyer chain? Anybody can post a Link?
I already reported that problem back to the swiss CCW guys and they will send me a free kickstart lever for that inconvenience (Yeeah! ^^)
2- I have some noises coming from somewhere on the bike when driving... sounds like someting is lose... anybody knows a good Trick to identify the source of the noise?
3- When i roll the heist arround with turned of engine something is grinding on the rear wheel. Sound like the brake is to tight.
4- Are there any swiss or european people arround? The EU version of the heist has a lot of strange stuff on it to reach our emmision limit.
So i dont realy know what i could work on my engine because its all tuned on that stuff. The exaust looks the same as the US original but has a triple catalyst...
5- I saw a Website with nice LED-taillights and LED-indicators. http://www.customdynamics.com/ Do you think this is Plug&play?
6- When i was on the road today my engine died out of noting... after a few minutes of trying it started aggain but it was no good feeling...
I was riding uphill and may be the engine was not heated up. When riding back down a few hours later the dame thing happened... any ideas?
First thing i want to custom is croping the rear fender. Europe Version is way to long...
At the same time i want to mount my license plate side-frame (incl. the wiring for its light) and the heavy chain.
Thinking about some paint job and removing some of the crapy plastik parts.
Oh, and my Heist already has a name!
I want to call it "Bopy" as a tribute to my lost Yamaha Bop
That even fits with the term "bobber" ^_^
I have no pictures of my heist yet but here you can find some Pics of the european version:
http://clevelandcyclewerks.ch/
http://auto.ricardo.ch/kaufen/fahrze...w/an500998595/
so long!
Im sure you guys can help me out with my questions!
PS: Whats the exact name of the Facebook group you talked about in this forum? couldn't find it...Last edited by Tiih; 10-26-2011 at 09:23 PM.

Toby, first off welcome to the Mychinamoto forums, that was an epic posting. Congrats on the new scoot, sorry to read about your Bop. May whoever took it find a mouth full of gravel and a rash on their under carriage. One thing that you should know, the heist is cursed. Cant go anywhere without someone asking about it LoL.
The Website is in motion just waiting for some down time to get her fully going, also been waiting for the misfit to hit the shores of the US and get that added on. Appreciate your offer and i think we can have a collaboration going on PM me or hit me on facebook.
now lets answer those questions:
1- the chain hitting the fender is a common problem and can be fixed by adjusting the rear wheel, it will help but the 428STD chain is garbage. Do yourself a favor and ditch it.
Get the DID 428HD Chain, a number of us got the chain from www.wearverrides.com with a 16T front sprocket. If you do the chain do the sprocket as well. CCW offers a 38 or 39T sprocket on their website http://shop.clevelandcyclewerks.com/
HDChain and sprocket.jpg
2- the trick to the noise is go through the bike and tighten everything down, she is a hardtail and the first few rides will loosen the bike up
3- This is standard there seems to be some resin buildup on the brake pads, had the same issue. A scour pad takes care of tha. Just scuff the disk.
4- That I cant help with but email CCW and ask, they are pretty good at replying back in a timely fashion.
5- You will need a LED Turn SIgnal Resistors if you are using LED lights easy enough to install. there were a few guys here that did it and put the resistor in the headlight housing
6- Sounds like a vapor lock I suggest drilling the cap
gas cap.jpg
there are plastic parts on your bike? Please post pics I didnt think there were plastic on a heist out side the controls on the handlebars
And Bopy is a respectable name for your scoot. Good luck with it and get some pics up.Gardo northern NJ/NYC

Thx, Gardo!
Proud to be on board and love the bike more every day!
If you need something done for your Homepage, just kontakt me.
Search for "Tobias Theuer" on facebook.
You allready have a logo or Banner? If not, i will try to work something out a soon i find some time.
You have a domain/ name?
Thank's for answering my questions!
Some addons:
1- Could you take a look at that?
http://www.hawg-shop.de/index.php?ca...ID-428-HD.html
I think they sell the chain in different lengths. can you help out?
Did you get the 16T front sprocket together with the chain?
Is there a change in transmission with the new sprockets?
2 and 3- scheduled for saturday
4- Good advice! Try that
5- Hmmm... time to dig out my electronics books from school : )
6- Totaly right! The tank took a deep breath when i unscrewed the cap ^^
Well, when i talk about plastik parts:
- The whole rubber tubes you already removed from the engine. (BTW: on what page did you explain how to do that? couldn'd find it...)
- The stock indicators whish i find kind of sheap looking.
- The stock Taillight. I dont realy like the design and have an idea in my head whish could turn out very cool : )
- It might be a bit tricky but i want to change/ Remove some of the cables and tubes goin out from the Handles.
BTW: Epic Taillight, SteelToe : )

Toby, I hit you up and added you to the CCW tha Riders group as well.
i have the domain name and a banner, been working with another member of the CCW Rider group
Not sure the length of the chain but I can check for you, I did the front sprocket with the chain at the shop, I know CCW has the rear sprockets, talk to your dealer or just order one from their site. I recommend the 38T rear sprocket.
I never did explain it here on the site,
Most of us changed out the lights and indicators
The CCW tha Rider group has tons of pics and a couple write ups on how guys changed the bars and routed the wiresGardo northern NJ/NYC

Well if you out riding enjoy and be safe. Think I might take my bike to a parking lot and do snow doughnutsGardo northern NJ/NYC
