#1 Spark Plugs11-27-2008, 11:55 PM
Going on Forchetto's advice I had a look at the make of the spark plug on my Kinlon 200GY SM and sure enough it was a "TORCH".
SO I am have been looking on the NGK website for alternate plugs but I thought I would ask first if any one had any recommendations for spark plugs in their c-moto 200's?
Cheers,
Marty.---------------------------------------------------

11-28-2008, 11:24 AMCan't find the NGK equivalent plug anywhere. Searched for Loncin JL200GY-2, Kinlon, etc. Can't find anything.
The owners manual should list the alternative plugs, as the original "TORCH" plugs are not sold anywhere outside China. The importer should know the alternative NGK type for the same reason.Jincheng Monkey JC50Q-7

Information for 200 GY
DR8EA NGK Spark plug
Tork: 14 N.m (1,4 kgf.m)
Always tighten NGK spark plugs to the engine manufacturer's tightening torque. If this information is not available, screw the NGK spark plug in finger tight and then retighten 1/2 a turn for plugs with a gasket and a 1/16 of a turn for conical and taper seat plugs without a gasket. This is applicable for 10mm, 12mm and 14mm spark plugs only. Almost all cars and light commercial vehicles use 14mm spark plugs. If the plug is too loose, it will not be able to dissipate sufficient heat from the combustion chamber into the cylinder head and will overheat. If the plug is too tight, it may break during the installation or during engine operation.

The owners manual does not include a list of alternate spark plugs (or anything else for that matter), but I will ask the dealer I bought the bike from.
That is the plug for the Suzuki DR200SE (96-05). The recommended plug for the pre 1993 DR200, which is the era the c-moto's are designed, the plug is D8EA. Do you have experience with this plug in your bike?---------------------------------------------------
