#1 Motorcycle Carrier on the back of a truck - China02-26-2012, 08:18 AM
SV1000onMototote.jpghi, just wondering if any of you guys in china have ever seen on the road similar equipments to that motorbike carrier attached to the back of a truck/suv proposed by http://www.mototote.com/motorcycle-c...arrier-us.html
i tried to get into the traffic police station to ask if it was authorized... but as usual, when they don't know they prefer to say it is not...!Last edited by Jaunedoe; 02-26-2012 at 08:52 AM.

Harley-Davidson / Joy Motorcycles (Jimmy) sell bike trailers (up to two bikes) and they use them frequently without any license - registration for the trailers we were told.
We checked with a few police stations and were told "Trailers are banned in China", go figure, TIC all over again...... [/COLOR]

02-26-2012, 10:36 AMThere are at least two MCM members who have nice trailers, including ChinaV. Advanced search is your friend.
cheers

02-26-2012, 10:51 AMG'Day,
Don't want to be the first one that gets an expensive bike and cheap trailer confiscated, as far as I recall the single bike trailer was around 18000RMB.

02-26-2012, 10:58 AMPerhaps ChinaV will reveal how much he paid for his very attractive three-bike trailer, which came from somewhere up in the northeast -- Tianjin or Dalian, was it?.

02-26-2012, 11:03 AMG'Day,
Wouldn't buy an expensive bike trailer from the HD shop, there are China based trailer manufacturers and as we always tinker with vehicles reckon ours would be custom trailers anyway....
Just can't be really bothered to investigate into the China bike trailer licensing - registration issue in the moment.
