Ok!
So I got to a local dealer yesterday to see The heist. They had 4 there, on with a custom pipe, made locally. The sales/manager lady at the dealer was really hot...do my caveman male brain got overwhelmed and I can hardly remember what the bike was like!! DOH! Stupid brain!
Nah I sat on it and it felt great. Any time I've sat on a friends sport bike I've felt really uncomfortable and worried that I'd drop it. The Heist felt heavier than I was expecting, but in a good way. It is still a full size bike.
I have some experience with VWs, engine swaps, suspension installs and all but I'm very much a fuel injection guy, carbs confuse the hell out of me do that'll be my only real battle to learn. When you guys say "weaver carb" is that a whole new carb or just a modified stock one?
I feel like I'm sold on the bike, not just because of the super hot sales lady!! Hehe.
Gonna book for my learners license and take it from there.

It is a jetted carb that Weaver adjust to your exhaust. Weaver rides is next to Pit motors and Weaver is the expert for customizing the heist. He did mine and I love it.

I must say your Heist is one of the best looking ones man!! I really really like that look!!
Yeah Weaver and Pit are a bit far for me :) but I'm sure I'll be able to find some ppl here to mod the carb if I wanted to. Anyone DIY'd flowing a head....with a dremel? I'm only half kidding :D

Don't do it, man. Unless you're a genuinely experienced engine builder, don't even think about taking machine work into your own hands. Porting and polishing isn't just dremeling off slag and casting ridges, it's about shape and texture.
For instance, a port job doesn't just have to flow more than stock, it has to flow at precisely the right angle. And a polish job isn't just about making the inside of your heads shiny, it's about putting a smooth polish at certain angles and a textured polish at other angles, in order to avoid fuel dropout.
Since you're new to carburetion, I suggest you send your carb off to the Weave and have him jet it and/or port it for your elevation. However, since you've obviously got some experience with engine tuning vis-a-vis EFI, then carbs shouldn't be really difficult for you to learn; if you really want to get your hands on your own ride's guts then don't be afraid to do so, just be prepared to exercise patience for the learning curve. Compared to fuel injection mapping, the learning curve for jets and mixture screws will be very shallow.

Hey all,
I've been out riding my Heist quite a bit since the weather has been unseasonably warm here in south-eastern PA, and I've noticed a little issue I was hoping y'all might be able to help me with. Since I'm such a tall guy, I had to adjust the seat as far back as it would go which gives me about 1" of suspension travel before the seat hits the rear fender. So basically when I sit on the bike I have NO clearance. I guess my question is would getting the air-bag seat kit fix this? The problem seems to be that the mounting points for the seat springs are too far forward when the seat is moved all the way back and the shocks aren't long enough to give any real clearance.
I'm wondering if the combo of a new, softer seat, and the air bag will make this bike all the more enjoyable. I rode about 35 miles yesterday and am quite sore today as a result. I checked out eBay and found some seats I like, but was wondering if the bolt placement on them is universal, or am I going to have to custom fit?
Any thoughts would be great.

You will need to drill out about an 1/8 of an inch on the stock bracket. Contact John from 233 Motorsports he has a set of seat springs and kit that bolt direct to the bike. I picked up a LaRosa knock off to put on the bike need to mod the bracket to fit it where I want
I have the airbag and seat springs made a world of difference for the ride. I so suggest trying a set of 4" springs first
Oh and guys I am back 3000 miles completed all the way to Daytona FL and back with riding in between on my Heist Nothing but love for the lil girl she was cruising at 70 - 75mph with a passing speed of 80 - 85mph and even broke 90 a few times

Well i pulled the trigger, and placed my order for a heist. Kelly @weaver said she would send pics of the build, and both Kelly and Tom were very patient answering any questions I had. The countdown has begun, 14 days and the bike should be done.
