Looks promising, we need to find out more about this engine...also what tires are those?
I know a guy who has the 450 dirt bike. This factory is in Taian, which is about 200kms from me. I'll do some research guys!

I spoke to the factory this afternoon, they had a guy with really decent English, he said the engine was originally a Honda developed 450 single and the tires were made by Cagiva in China. Whether this is an officially licenced Honda engine or not I'm unsure.
So this probably is the same as the CRF 450 engine with a longer stroke.
Price quoted was around 20,000 RMB (he said $2,300 USD, but the exchange rates say this is $2,900) if in Chinese market. Overseas markets, expect it to cost more.
Probably will visit the factory in the spring or when weather is warm enough.Last edited by ZMC888; 01-08-2009 at 08:15 AM.

I don't know if it is the same guy that I have been corresponding with, but he has been picking my brain as far as what prices they should charge. I don't think he believed me when I told him that Hyosung 650GT's (naked) are listed at $3700 at one distributor in the US, FOB Los Angeles.

The reason for this confusion for the Chinese is that things that are imported from the USA and sold in China are really expensive, due to Chinese government taxes. Many of them rarely understand that the US has relatively low import and sales taxes. So things available in the states are often cheaper than they expect, and try to sell their bikes for too much.

01-09-2009, 08:20 AMmight be a XR 400
might be a XR 400(but I don't think so) that ain't no bad thing one of the most reliable bikes on the planet .
It looks to me it is air cooled
Asiawing SPARK 500
4-stroke 4-valve SOHC single
Compression ratio 9.2:1
XR400
4-stroke 4-valve SOHC single
Compression ratio 9.3:1
CRF450
4-valve SOHC single
Compression ratio 12.0:1
The Asiawing 450 dirt bike they say is liquid cooled, so probably is a CRF450 clone engine.
But it appears the Spark 500 is an oil cooled bike so could be a bored out XR400 or something else entirely. This would seem to make sense as the dirt bike is more expensive.

Honda XR 400 was oil cooled( had a a oil cooler)
I think they now have a motard XR might be 450 not sure and I think it is Water cooled not sure? in different parts of the world .Hong Kong, pretty sure Japan has the XR motard seen one in Hong Kong when I was looking around for a bike. .
