You mean standard light bulb for the brake light, right? That could be an option. Anyways, it's cheap so trying it won't hurt a bit.

Headlight... don't know. I'd try and see for myself. But as far as my guess ability goes that thing runs pretty hot and could possibly burn your reflector if turned on for a long period of time. Besides, I'd doubt it can be turned on for extended periods of time because it's originally intended for use in stop lights/blinkers. Guess it'll fuse fast.
But that's just guess. Well, you could always try, it's a minor thing.

hm, you might be right. I always thought LEDs don't get hot but I have seen a couple of LED motorbike sets on taobao that come with massive passive coolers. HID, then? They look awfully complicated to wire.

I don't think you'll have to worry about HID wiring. Just have some local shop owner do that for you. Will be less than 100 yuan (I mean, work itself).
And, yes, if I were so inclined I'd go with HID. Otherwise I think swapping the original bulb for 80W car bulb will do the trick.

I think any bulb (halogen/common) with a standard plug will fit. HID set should fit too, they're generic and aren't usually specifically manufactured for a certain brand/model of a bike.
